I would have assumed you need to play it through steam to redeem/use the item. maybe not.

Well, I suppose you need Steam to redeem the item but it seems rather silly to me that you need to play through Steam to do so.

For anyone curious it's not RMTable, the item goes in your cosmetics tab (which is now viewable through steam as well, opening up the ability to do more of these sorts of things).

Edit: Also, to be clear, you don't have to play THROUGH steam always, you just have to have dled the steam client and linked your accounts.

It is rather strange GGG is not offering these mask's to anybody not playing true steam imo.
