[2.2] JForce's Reave Duelist Build
Currently lvl 71 with this build. Almost everything seems ok. I have 21k dps, 4k life, all resistances and block capped. Just one problem: even with gloves 2% mana leech + 2% mana leech from belt i cannot sustain my reave skill. According to op guide, I shouldn't have any problems with this. It's a serious problem since with blood magic ( i have to drop add fire dmg) my dmg drops to 16k.

Take some mana % from tree to raise max mana. You can only leech 12.5% of your your max mana per second.
So if your skill cost * attack speed / 3(because multistrike) is bigger than your 12.5% *max mana + your mana regen value, you will have mana problems. Also you want enough free mana to attack atleast twice. So, if your skill costs 50 mana, you want 100 free mana. Quality conc effect helps too. |

Looks like with 1.3 skill tree changes this build will be nerfed, a lot. Say bye bye to our easy acquired 75 block rate.
Any ideas how to survive now? |

" I've played this build since onslaught league back in open beta, with and without max block, though with the new patch it just means that melee builds hold a higher skill cap than before. Endurance charges and CWDT setups will still be pretty helpful to melee specs, but the new counter attack gems coming out might help balance this issue out. I've been working out tree's for 1.3 and other than the block, the hp, armor, and damage have pretty much remained the same and pathing through the scion life wheel and taking the ranger sword nodes, or pathing towards the mara side and taking the sword nodes on that side seemed to produce pretty similar results for me. " Sorry for not getting back with you sooner as my gf just had our baby last week, but mana cap is indeed an issue with the build, which quality on conc effect, keeping your reave gem at a lower level to reduce the base mana cost, or mana on gear will help out with. Unrelenting with the 1.3 patch will probably be another big help since you'll get 19% reduced mana cost on skills, which is more than what conc effect with quality gives, or you can get the mana/reduction cost in the templar tree. |

JForce, will you be updating the tree for 1.3?
edit: Never mind, didn't saw your previous post. Last edited by Subtilizer#5334 on Dec 12, 2014, 5:50:17 AM

hey jforce, im trying this build out on the torment league. ill let you know what I think. so far its fun. never done reave before. I am kinda curious tho, which way on the skill tree should I focus on going first? can you give a couple different trees to show the lvl 20, 40 , 60 and 80 nodes? just to give an idea on where to go?
thx |

" I personally rush to all the stuff on the ranger side first, depends if you dont mind relying on accuracy for a while which the dex you get early gives you a lot, but it also gives you a lot of damage. If you want to tho you can just go to herbalism and head towards the scion life wheel and rt right after, depends on how defensive you wanna be. |

Thanks for 100k views guys :D
Posted a 2nd variation to the 1.3 tree that has a bit more armor, damage, but less life and regen. Thanks for all the support for the build since nemesis, I'm glad to see how well the build has worked for people since then. |
