[2.2] JForce's Reave Duelist Build

I am struggling at level 53, if I switch to 1h + shield.
My problem at this level is that I could deal with pretty much everything, using reave or double strike + melee splash but it would just take ages to kill anything but white mobs. Depending on gem setup my dps is somewhere between 500 and 700, pretty bad ;) My dps is too low to use manaleech so I pretty much "have" to use Blood Magic but then my dps is even lower and nothing dies. I have read some replies that state awesome amounts of dps on lower levels but I just do not see how to achieve them, except for maybe having gg gear for this level. I got a better weapon now and my dps is close to 2k, still not as high as I was hoping for but I can easily keep up reave now. Even at this level (57) I will keep on using GS because it is way faster and more reliable since I do not have the insane APS you have ;) It still is fun using reave though and my problem "solved" itself :) |

Has any1 tried this build without bloodmagic but with melee dmg on full life. Without using grace but clairty also and a few mana nodes and reduced mana skills nodes on the tree. Let me know ty |

Hi, this build is doing so great! Really good one, almost reached lvl 85 now.
I just have one question: I have been using Crest of Perandus (amazing block chance) to be block capped.. But I got an amazing Kite Shield with a lot of resist + hp. Shall I start using that one even though it doesn't have as high block chance as Crest of Perandus? Thank you in advance. |

" Depends on how much you value block in your build, otherwise high hp/res shields would mean more flexiblity in other spots for gear without worrying about your resistances. |

Well I just changed the unique shield for an angelic shield, no much difference so I'll keep with this.. maybe getting an Aegis Aurora when I can afford to buy it :)
Btw, I want to increase my DPS now, shall I get a 20% quality reave and multistrike or look for some gloves with attack speed and phys dmg? Thanks for answering. |

" 20 quality reave is probably the only thing you need early on as it gives you the most damage from quality out of all your gems, then id go for damage on gear if you can balance out what you need for life,res |
