oh i didnt know it had a chance to frenzy on kill. my bad.
so if say you cant aford the shield and are willing to reduce your damage. you cant take off your gear lowering your max hp to snap shot then put on your gear afterwards so the aura does less damage and you need less fr? |

Would like to ask, how does the damage of RF goes up to 61k ? Even with snapshotting of redbeak it is just a 200% damage increase ? Can someone englighten me the rough math behind it ?

I do not even think this calculation of him is correct, but lets see...
You might have 8k HP with Kaoms ... Meaning your RF burns for 4k/sec 4+ (4*0,15) + (4*0,15) + (4*0,3)= 6,4 ["increased" from fire dmg nodes 15/15/30%] + (4*0,08) = 6,72 [from AoE nodes 8%] + (4*0,69) = 9,48 [from lvl20 burning dmg] + (4*200%)*2 = 25,48 ["increased" dmg from wearing two redbeaks] * 1,69 = 43,0612 ["more" dmg from concentrated effect] Now assuming that a monster can go to -60% resistances like a player... * 1.6 = 68,89792 I did not include the 27% damage over time from the passive tree, since I am not sure if they apply to RF. Else it'd be: [...] 9,48 + (4*1.27) = 14,56 [27% dmg over time] + 16 = 30,56 [redbeaks] *1,69 = 51,6464 *1,6 = 82,632424 I should add that I calculated with the LEGACY version of Kaom's Heart. The non-legacy version might lower you HP to 6k but since it gives 40% burning dmg (+3,2) and this is later multiplied by concen effect and monster resi... Dmg will be a bit lower but not that much. 6k HP means your RF burns for 3K 3+0,45+0,45+0,9 = 4,8 +0,24 = 5,24 + 2,07 = 7,31 + (3*200%)*2 = 19,31 + 1,2 = 23,172 [fire dmg from kaoms] *1.69 = ~39,16 *1.6 = ~62,66 With DoT nodes: [...] 23,172 + (3*1.27) = 26,982 *1.69 = ~45,6 *1.6 = ~73 Meaning non-legacy would make you loose 6k (9k including DoT nodes) [and ofc 2k HP]. Imho that means - if you aren't in the need of those 2k HP - the new Kaom's is the better choice, since the damage difference is like 10% but the price is a 5th from the legacy version. Also, don't forget Vulnerability's 40% Damage over Time in your DPS Calculation. In addition, with monster resistance I wouldn't calculate it any lower than what EE can give. So maybe -50%...

Since EleWeakness is way more party-friendly, I do not recommend using Vulnerability~
40% increased at my 4k burn calculation gives 1,6k dps 25% res less is 25% MORE dmg... meaning AFTER the calculations from nodes etc... bigger boost. Last edited by Syrill_#2903 on Mar 29, 2014, 11:58:59 AM
