Why is the taming so damn expensive?

I have seen these go for 40-50 exalts in trade chat yet for the most part, they are grossly outclasses by high ele damage rares. Is there something im missing?

They go for 4-5 Exalts on Domination, i recently got myself 2 of these. <3

because we only get the nemesis ones, which are hard to get...

Berek's Grip and Pass are easy enough to acquire cheap through trading. I just need Berek's Respite. Why not create a Nemesis character and farm for a week of two?

what rare is better then the taming for elemental dmg lol? its a BiS item.

" Rare can have WED with just one mod, giving 5 other mods (+implicit mod) as well. While Taming has best WED, it lacks other valuable stats. I dont find it worth more than few exalteds. They are just too rare on a standart because they dont drop. That's all. Overpriced decent item is still a decent item. IGN: MortalKombat
