Content Update 1.0.1 Video Preview

I think the changes to Purity are fine. I do hope the singular resist auras will give a greater bonus to max resist than current Purity does, which would help with builds that use extremely high, specific AoE elemental damage against reflect, as well as Righteous Fire builds.

The majority of high level players in the game right now, even in hardcore, seem to have well adapted to the recent changes, and don't even need to use Purity anymore. There are other options for players that want to adapt to specific situations in the game (such as the resistance flasks that most players seem to have forgotten even exist).

As it stands I think the stated changes are fine at first glance. People will complain, as usual, then watch the higher level players and streamers adapt to the changes and copy their builds anyway. I will reserve more detailed feedback for when I can actually see the new auras and their levelled stats.

thats really broke the game i hav 20 go connection internet not my fault really servers problem

its not a 'buff' to what you were doing, but its a minor nerf to you and a massive nerf to solo players, hence making party play even stronger against solo play. Theyre not clueless, they understand the situation just fine, you dont seem to.

well...

I play solo most of the time, and I play in a group of friends. We are not rich but reasonably well equiped.

We do not run Purity since the patch. Why? Because we used the respec to get the resist nodes. So we are less dependend on gear, and we cont have to use this aura.

I have 75% resist all. Now I know, map mods with minus res. through ele weakness. Yes. We have to be carefull in maps like that. Maybe trade damage for more defense. But the 3-4% max res You could get out of purity arent THAT important.

I actually run the content a lot faster when I solo. Because I have the highest dps of all of us. And through the increased life buff the mobs get in party play, I cant kill stuff that fast, which makes certain mobs (devourers, leap slamers, chaos damagers) way more dangerous.

So all in all: This is not a nerf or buff for anything but purity and affects both styles of play equally.

aside: I don't know why they did nerf purity. I thought it was fine.
Purity nerf means nerf all solo players.

It's very sad that GGG discourages solo play.

My marauder can survive this 2% nerf but still I'm not so happy with that.
I have to agree about running content faster when solo. The community hasn't caught on yet that party play is incredibly slow in the new leagues. Without the crazy IIQ bonuses, it's pretty much the same as solo play in terms of drops - only monsters have 6 times more health, and the loot is being split six ways.

I run Piety solo: It takes 10 minutes or less, and even then I'm killing mob groups because at 79 I can still gain XP. I get a bunch of rares and a bunch of currency every run. Anything sweet that drops is mine for the taking.

I run Piety in a group: It takes 20-30 minutes, I get zero or one random currency if I'm lucky, and I get almost nothing from Piety herself. Anything orange that drops has an additional 5 out of 6 chance to allocate to someone else.

I stopped running Piety in groups when I had 14 runs in a row where not a single yellow, orange, or currency drop allocated to me upon her death. That's right: I spent roughly 5 hours running Piety, and received not a single item, instead being forced to stare helplessly at a big list of greys over and over.

Solo play is where it's at right now. Pardon my french, but party play is a goddamn trick grind, and you're wasting your time with it.

I have played since Closed Beta and the game runs better now than it ever did. I did upgrade my video card in Open Beta, but the full release has been awesome.
Take a good look at your hardware and see if upgrades are not what is needed.

Coming from a guy that plays solo 95% of the time.
