Hi Chris,

I think Purity should not be nerfed that much or at all since it only plays as a stepping point of players (especially solo) to progress through the end cruel to merciless difficulty. I haven't beaten the merc difficulty yet but i feel that once you get the GG gears (via trading and self found loot) and max your resists (i've almost maxed out 2 resists with gear and endurance charges alone) you will eventually drop the purity aura to something more offensive end-game.

Also, the nemesis mods makes players (specially solo) equip purity. Can't really afford to run in merc without maxing the resists especially when you encounter the storm and volatile rares and uniques monsters. You health globe will insta-melt.

I also believe the charges look great already and should not be change with the new one. You can just simply look at the icon top left of the screen to verify the count.

yeah sounds like some advanced stuff, i would guess they're using some kind of a compressor, since 6 pipes are the next level.

I am a solo player and always will be.
I am ready to face the challenges that come with it even if I feel that group play is being favoured more and more.

I do not know if this is the right place and I will post this suggestion elsewhere as well:

Would it be possible to add some benefits to the players character, if he/she agrees to accept certain drawbacks?

These options cannot be revoked and have to be selected with the creation of the character.
They are only available to more experienced players like the scion.

Possible drawbacks could be

-Never being able to join a group (selecting this option is mandatory to select additional ones since in a group you can negate the effect of a drawback)
-Real Hardcore Mode (Character and items join void league upon death)
-No visible health-bars for monsters and minions
-50% zoom in mode outside town
-For the selected character the nodes of the skilltree consist of pure st,int and dex or a combination of them only (+ mana and es, not fully thought through)

Possible benefits for activation of one or more of these drawbacks could be

-Experience bonus
-Visible additions to the character (ingame and chat)
-Additional points in races
-Special rewards like items or vanity items if you reach predefined goals despite these drawbacks.
-Achievements

In my opinion this would be a real challenge and incentive for solo players and add a completely new dimension to PoE.

Maybe you can consider this.

Oh man, can't wait for the new Descent races! Holy shit the Descent specific uniques got me super excited!!

Also to Russell I really like the look of the new endurance charge you posted. I do think the ones shown in the video are a little blah, but that is something that can easily be fixed. Dunno why people are QQ'ing about them already. Either way I always enjoy the art/graphical improvements in this game.

Can't wait for my supporter pack to finally get here! I need some more PoE lovin in my life.

A good post indeed. I fully supported the nerf to Elemental Adaptation and the initial nerf to Purity. However, I do think that completely removing +to max resists from Purity is going too far. There's a pretty big elemental damage inflation in this game. 75% elemental res. has become the bare minimum to survive end-game content and in some cases it's not enough. I say either nerf elemental damage across the board or keep the status quo.

Do you guys even bother to play this game on the real servers before making such drastic changes?
New charges look ugly.
Also, 20 regrets for bandit quest respec is ridiculous. It should be free because you change balance every month.
