Further Update to Map-only Uniques
The fact that you considered this change in the first place is absolutely despicable. The amount of greed and shadiness at work there was disgusting. Only after people are threatening to leave and asking for refunds did you make this thread. You had no insight whatsoever that this would be our reaction? Is your entire team (and the "Alpha" members too) living in a bubble? Unbelievable. You should be ashamed.

All uniques should be able to drop from any high level non map areas, even if the chance is .0000001%, theres still always that possibility.

Give credit where it's due, well done GGG, good move. Maybe going forward test an initial philoshy like this before implementation. I am sure you will get upfront feedback as you get it now. A bit more of a pro-active approach.

There're still uniques specific to map drops - think Dyadus and Auxium fall into this category becouse one is lvl-req 69 (possibly can drop from dominius) and another is lvl-req 70 so it drops in zone lvl 68+. I would welcome more map exclusive uniques becouse it heavy cc/dps/survavibility builds more appealing then braindead sporkers with insane IIR/IIQ farming lunaris and getting lots of stuff without any risk whatsoever.
Also when ppls say that high lvl maps should be farmed for rares, not uniques i disagree. You have better chances to get already prerolled unique that worth a lot then a great rare item. For a matter of fact i've farmed loads of lvl 73-75 maps and nearly all my cash came from uniques. Between all rare drops and alchemied items i've got 25 ex max, 2 days ago Dyadus droped in 68 map (...) and sold for same. Also i hope GGG will come to their sences and unnerf nerfed legendaries, becouse for those who got them before riding through poe content is much easier. Proper aproach would be to make them absolete over time, introduce new uniques that can compare with old in usefuless but as it is those who had it easy still have it easy, rest are forced to pay triple price (at least) to get them or spend a mirror on item that at the most is comprable. At least in D3 devs provided alternative to legacy items and new rebranded legendaries/rares, in POE it's still soultaker or gimp yourself for half melee builds, Shavronne or no low life features etc. and so on. Don't get me wrong, i'm not jelly (mostly playing reave anyway). Just think it's wrong to leave gamebreaking items in place without offering new players alternative to them. |

I agree with your post Chris, but if Kaoms isn't on the list of map only uniques, why is anything. Maybe just lower the ilvl required so it's not so prohibitive.
