Further Update to Map-only Uniques
Thank you for going back on this! I was terrified of the thought of white ilvl 78 Occultist Vestments selling for 5 exalts in trade chat. This would really have been terrible for everyone except the hardest of mapping parties. Thanks again for making this change so fast, the game feels restored...I was pretty concerned there for the new players of the game.

Great news. Now if only it were actually possible to get to lvl 100 outside of map areas.

This is really disappointing. Boss runs are now so easy and fast that I only do them for getting chaos and alterations for rolling maps. There really is no challenge in it more than having time on your hands.
Maps on the other hand requires strategy and proper tactics according to the maps mods. This is were you need to put the high level rewards. |

" Good for you. :) Gz. But as far as I can tell, it did take you more than 3 days. :) Later edit: I'm not saying it's not doable. Give me 3 days off, I'll do it too. It was kind of a larger context. :) Last edited by JoanGrimm#4213 on Nov 6, 2013, 11:58:44 AM

" I would agree if the requiremts would not be outragous to reach level 75 maps and with that i mean rng and trading not skill requirements |

" Maybe you should read the rest. The guy said you can do that easily in 3 days. 0->81. Sorry, If you want to sleep, work and have any kind of family you can not easily go from 0 -> 81 in 3 days. Even grinding with a party there just isn't much time. A couple hours a day is all that's left. I could tell from the first whine he posted that he was the type of person that just plays. Non stop. Likely made good 'profit' from trading map only uniques too. Which is why he likely hates this. That and he obviously has a feeling of being l33t with all the time he can spend on it. This makes things a little more accessible for the majority which is the way it should be. It doesn't make sense to horde all of the best (or rather shortcut items as a known unique is easier to adjust a build to for most than an unknown rare that may be better from higher maps) for those who can access them from grinding. And because the map system is the way it is it really is only truly accessible at the higher map levels 77+ by those who can grind, trade and build the currency. Sadly these are of two mindsets that will likely never agree. Hence the apparently democratic leadership and rule of GGG. Pacific (GMT -8) Time

I do not approve.
It seemed perfectly reasonable that to get the best/coolest stuff, you had to beat the hardest content. People that only play <=10 hours a week could have lived without Kaoms and Shavronnes. But now if, say, Piety (AKA the gal who puts out more than a plastered groupie) can drop Kaoms, they're going to become vendor trash 6 hours after this patch comes out. (Note: this may be a slight exaggeration.) Anyway, I guess I'm back to the "run nothing but 68 maps forever" plan. |

I liked the map only uniques idea *shrugs either way. Keep the content coming GGG !!
Don't forget to drink your milk 👌

my suggestion: restore old uniques required item levels, then just give bigger chance to those most powerful uniques to spawn in high level maps. so in docks you will have much lower chance to get those powerful uniques, but it will be still possible.
in general I think unique items still need a lot of rebalancing. most of uniques that drop are useless and they sell for 1 alchemy in standard and still nobody want to buy them. make uniques more valueable, maybe with new vendor recipe or something like that. |

" This isn't only for casual players. Solo players have an extremely difficult time getting high lvl maps. Besides, Kaoms and Shavs will still be incredibly difficult to come by. I did Piety runs for probably 500 hours or so. I found a shavs once and a soul taker once. |
