Is there some way to procedurally check if your character/account's drop table is screwy?
" If you have literally only gotten 10 scrolls of wisdom and nothing else throughout all of the acts, then yes you were flagged for botting and should contact customer service. If you are just exaggerating to feel better..well can't help you there.
" Ok. So you ban a botter and they just make a fresh account. You IP ban them and you also ban whoever else is using their gateway (cable node or internet cafe). You decrease their drop rate and they just have trouble finding junk to sell. IGN : Reamus

" Good point, you're right then that it is more effective than outright banning them. I'm still concerned about the inevitable claims of economy micromanagement and favouritism though. sry ive seen godly and godlys dont lose hp wich wuold pretty much be a smiter with life tap

If what people are saying is true, email support to have your account reviewed, they'll pass through the logs and tell you what they findand correct it if it is an error.

" I mean, i doubt they increase donors drop rates but... I do know of one generous donor who has had NINE exalts drop since new leagues started. I bought exalted pack, came with no exalts .-. Anarchy/Onslaught T shirt

" As a diamond AND eternal supporter I can vouch that I am really bad at finding good drops, currency or no.
" This. It's not good transparency for them to do this, although it is very effective. However, someone can just make a new account. GGG should notify the e-mail address associated with an account when it is flagged for botting. It's not fair not to. Since the drop nerf is so obvious, it shouldn't be a secret when it happens anyway, so I think it's only right to automate an e-mail when the account is flagged. That way there's no "My account got flagged by mistake". Frankly, when I read the topic of this thread my first thought was, "They do that?? No they don't, they wouldn't possibly do that..." Now that I read it's confirmed, it makes me think of blizzard. There was much paranoia about the RMAH that "My account's drops are nerfed so I have to use the RMAH, whereas my friend's account's drops are buffed so that they find stuff to sell on the RMAH to make blizzard commission." Obviously that's a huge exaggeration compared to what GGG is doing (and the reason why they're doing), but my point is: The mere fact that drop rates can be modified on an account-by-account basis in such a stealthy manner is going to cause people to wonder how that ability is being used or will be used in the future. Not good.
This makes me paranoid about my Marauder character in Nemesis.
I was in Act 2 normal with only magic boots and gloves (all other items were whites). No rares found. No notable pieces of currency discovered. >.> |

It does not even need to be that complicated.
Just one place that will consistently drop X unless you account is borked by a false positive. IGN : Reamus
