Interesting to see if this fixes boosting, or if they end up adding a /players command after this or something.

While it will be nice to see some sort of balance added, I do so hope for something other than /players

Addition of such would kill any need, other than personal desire, to ever party with a living player. At which point, the public party feature may was well be removed entirely, as /players would just finish killing it---wiping out the remains of whats left after forced FFA loot systems.

I think people partying for no reason other than personal desire would be perfect.

It tells the game to scale the monsters to X players, from 1-6, as thats the allowed party size. Its from D2.

Its would be for a single person/small party, so the monsters could be scaled as if there are 6 in the party, without actually having that many.
Which would completely remove the point of a party bonus to anything. If this were to be done, it would essentially be the same as simply making the normal rates for solo play the same as what one would get in a party.

If you are to simply simulate a party while playing solo, then we may as well just play solo with higher rates. This would not be a fix by any means, but rather a killer to an essential part of the game.

There are far better means to resolve the issue than to simply legitimize it and completely remove the point of scaling bonuses in the first place.

I'm confused.

How is boosting fixed now? There's nothing I'm reading that indicates that it is.

They plan on changing the way EXP gains in a party work in the next patch. So it's not fixed "now", but they have some kind of plan for the future.
