but buffing life nodes wont prevent people to take all life nodes instead of interesting stuff. Getting most of them will still be the most viable strategy.

IMO life% nodes diminishing returns (with bigger impact than it is now) could help to solve this, but I have no idea how this would be implemented


Yeah that's true. I mean it's why they were nerfed in the first place. DR may be the way to go. We'll just have to wait and see how the nodes are in the new tree.

It will be interesting to see how it shakes out. I am pretty stoked for Vaal Pact being closer to the Mara/Duelist area. That will help. Also with the intro of Mana Shield I've got to redo most of my builds, melee anywho due to the fact that they most are BM Keystone build that ran the typical grace, wrath, anger. With the changes to auras and Mana shield definitely will be several hours at the offline tree before playing.

I just hope like hell there is more flexibility and less demanding when it comes to life nodes.

Players now receive two more life points per level.
Some monster types now have the Far Shot implicit mod. This is like a reverse Point Blank passive in that they do more damage to characters that are far away.
Added a new Rogue Exile, Xandro Blooddrinker - the winner of the Well Dressed Exile competition! He's a pretty tough fight.
Player and monster Shock has been reduced from 40% to 30% per stack.

Chris.. i know you wont read this but anyway

entire tree has 550% inc life in total in 80 nodes (avg is ~6,9% per node)

with heavily focused life-based build it is possible to reach 200% in 85 points. this is leaving for 81lvl character 15 points for EVERYTHING else. cool huh?

with not so focused build, that is not a build made by someone who knows that you HAVE to stack flat life gear and life% to survive, you will hardly get 100-150% and have mediocre gear with like half slots having life and probably none having more than +80hp

this leaves player with like 2500HP. adding (81*2*~2) ~400HP to that changes NOTHING. white dungeon map brutus still one-shots you

if life builds are only for expert players, players with 10+ex worth of gear - say it clearly in the manual so people dont rage-quit this game (thus reducing your income)

i dont f.. know how do you want to get 250% life from current tree. (yep i see the crude hint(?) at there being more life% available)

+130%. i know this isnt purposedly tanky build. but if i do such build it costs so much that there is like 15 points to spend on any non-life nodes. fun isnt it?
effect? 2500 life. unplayable. i can toy with jewelry a bit but as it stands i will not even bother respeccing this char due to inherent life-based char stupidity. there are few builds that work - great! - but when you just want to make a classic melee build you need 10ex gear in each slot (my chest might be worth that much but seller probably scammed himself selling it for 2..)

this is a total glass cannon. most nodes are offensive (yep, i know overkill with EK but why the hell not)

i know life has (paper) advantages etc but in reality these mean jack shit. it is the buffer that matters. 5000 >> 2500. maybe it is time that you check your random-spike-dmg gear-build-check?

and you can have aura that gives you even more ES! that probably just got buffed

anyway, will probably make a scion with CI+VP (any build) and be fine. afaik it is possible to make ANY build with scion no problem so why bother with any other class. youll quickly regret that scion-takes-all poe will turn into

toyed a bit with the tree - this seems to be the most efficient way to break 230% barrier leaving 36/120 points so in reality 16 (for 81lvl char)

FUN STUFF.. bland borring build with nothing interesting and 16 nodes to get evasion/armor/resists/auras/block/dmg. i really hope that you've doubled the base HP value because currently it is even bigger problem than the %..
