Good stuff all around, looking forward to start playing again.
" Pretty sure you need to use both hands to fire a bow... so yes they are true 2-handers. Nothing to see here.

" But from the game's perspective you get to profit from an offhand-item - the quiver - unlike 2H melee weapons which don't allow for additional stats in your offhand slot. I guess that's what JoOnky was referring to. Crit happens.

Chris: "Socket Fusing and Level 40-55 Quest Rewards
These two topics may not appear related, but we're improving both as the result of a specific observation: some players have a very tough time after around level 40 and often fail to get to the end-game." Thank you for this. I am an extremely hard-core minded player, with a long background in top level play in the past.....but I'm 33 now with a wife and 2 kids. I love your game, and love hard, challenging content. However, I choose to be a father and husband first, so I can not dedicate the same time and energy into your amazing game. Also my kids prevent me from joining friends/guilds and grouping, as such, I don't trade. I only have a few hours a day and would rather play the game. I don't expect to make level 100, or get to even 80 in any sort of a fast pace.....but I would like to reach maps. And I agree it is difficult as a solo-non-trader-"part-time"-hardcore player to break past 45-50. I have 4 characters I have gotten past level 50, who all died in HC and now waste away in SC. I took my time, I picked a solid build, I geared appropriately, I invested heavily in survivability.....but I still died. Because at that level range, it is nearly impossible to find the right combo of gems, links, gear stats, weapons, supports etc etc etc as a solo player. I have literally spent 2-3 days farming under-level content to try and get as close as I can to a viable build, but just cant get what I need. So eventually I get close enough, move forward, and die. Thank you for considering us, and making changes that won't affect the truly hardcore guys, but allows me to enjoy your game more. I got frustrated with the game, and stopped playing.....after my 4th 50+ death, But I am looking forward to making POE the only game I play again, and if you continue to offer supporter packs, I will continue to support you as long as you continue to consider your entire audience, without "selling out" by gicing me things I don't deserve (i.e. I am OK never reaching "end-game" maps or level 100, or 90., as long as each time I log into the game, I feel like I can at least make some sort of progress in improving my character. I greatly look forward to seeing my first map in the near future..... |

Good changes, I am pleasantly surprised.

I don't like the exp changes. When I see a level 90+ player I think wow they must be good to survive to that level. Now any bad player will be able to grind docks daily and then claim to be an "elite".
That's what I liked about this game. So many gamers these days are full of hot air but with this game it was put up or shut up. I was just kidding back when I made this post! http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/506006/page/2#p4501768 That thread is the perfect example of what happens when you take away pay to win. People kick and scream when they can't have or buy their way. Quit giving in to the vocal minority! When you read Beta Feedback please keep in mind that most players are too busy actually playing the game to give feedback. "- love it "- love it "- love it "- love it "- Drooling "- love it "- Meh sounds fun while it may be difficult to show us the new skill tree, you COULD take small screenshots of new tree groupings and tag what each one is. this would allow you to show players what some new passives will be directly, while not showing where said nodes are on the tree :P State of Beyond Mechanic: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3568084

I think that many classes need 3+ auras to feel effective in this game.
Many auras are mandatory. Purity: Q How can you get max resists with a -60 in merc? A Cant be done without Purity even with good gear Clarity: Q How you going to regen mana fast enough to pay for that 80+ mana spell 3x a sec? A Can't be done without max lvl Clarity + passive nodes + mana regen on gear. With the aura changes you are making this game more dependent on items, which is already frustrating for many. Also Auras in D2 didnt cost mana. And there were some builds (Auradin) who had multiple auras. IGN: lVlage (96 Witch) Last edited by lVlage#3413 on Oct 15, 2013, 12:39:07 PM
