1.0.0 Balance Changes
I always found that the HASTE AURA was too slow. I didn't felt a BIG impact on my attack speed when I turned it on. Good idea on changing that !

Hey, that's me. I find that I am forced to practically give up during Cruel Act III / Merciless Act I because of having weak gear (and not enough currency to buy better gear).

I know you guys have more balance changes that haven't been posted, so I won't be super-harsh here. However, the aura thing has me very concerned (much like it does a lot of other people) and unless there are other good changes going to be made in the direction of helping life builds, then they are going to be hurt the most by this. Blood Magic keystone has already been brought up here and not sure if that will be changed at all, but if it isn't then that means that BM users will probably not be able to run that many if any auras. I have a sneaking suspicion that Anger and Wrath are going to be going the way of %-based and Grace is almost a certainty for that as well in my eyes, so that's going to hurt quite a bit.
But with the rambling aside this does bring up some concerns for my build on my current characters like my Crit-based, bow-style Shadow and my Armor/Eva hybrid S&B Duelist, or my Armor/ES S&B Templar. None of these character use Blood Magic save the latter two use it for curses and Enduring Cry via a gem link, and the Shadow...I'm trying to make work with mana. In an effort to get some build diversity going and not go the typical IR/Determination/Grace route just to get tons of armor and **** over my Evasion in the meantime, this means that I am making some sacrifices. I have to run Mana Leech gems at max quality on my attacks (6L LA without Chain and 6L Frenzy), and I have to go Eldritch Battery/Discipline just so I can get high enough mana pool after aura reserving to be able to not run out of mana. The auras I currently run are: Determination, Vitality, Wrath, and Discipline, and also am using an Alpha's Howl not just for the aura boosting, but for the 8% reduced mana reserve. I can't spare any points in this build to even attempt to get mana reduction nodes, much less even if I could I can't get anywhere near them without wasting way too many unnecessary 'highway nodes' in a build that's already strapped for points due to needing so much ******* life as it is on top of a mana pool. >< So again, where am I going with all this rambling? To summarize: 1. Unless there are going to be some changes to life to allow it to be easier or less mandatory to spend passive points on, this aura change will hurt life builds. 2. Unless there are going to be some changes to actually fix the issues with how poor a resource mana is in this game, then this aura change is going to hurt mana users in general. 3. Solo players are once again going to take the brunt of the beating unless there are changes made to help them out and not try to keep pushing for party play. Party play is already an issue in and of itself and the solo players like myself see little in the ways of a bone being thrown to them. So yeah...my two copper coins on this. :) |

I see lots of aura bitching but none of you are taking into account that some of these auras could be lower than 30% we could be running clarity for 20% without reduced mana for all you know. I hope to see anger and wrath take on the same idea as hatred... hello buff to elemental combat builds. Hopefully Vitality, Haste, and Clarity got a much needed buff. Clarity was nice for low lvs but at higher lvs it can't sustain anything let alone something as costly as a 6l Arc.
