Hello!

It is nice from GGG to take me to the top 10, my personal opinion is there was some better stylez than my... first of all i wanna tell them: BIG THNX!
And BIG THNX for all who voted for me :)
I wont read the Whole topic, but i checked some pages of it, and I saw there are many haters here, becouse it is pay to win, or for the action shots...

Just wanna tell U guys:

- Who told u it is not pay to win ? All of the effects (without any effect u wont win, or u think u will???... dont make me cry :) ) u can buy just for money, so i really dont understand what is the problem with it ??
- Still dont understand the cry about action shots. All of us have the shots they asked. Action is just + , to make some fun, doing what must to do is just boooooring. Is it sooo big mistake??

But np, i will be happy with the 10. place, and thnx again :D

All of the other rogue exiles use MTX effects, what makes you think the new one wouldn't?

That was my fear. And that´s when the word p2w comes in. You need to have MTX to have a place in the ranking. By your argumentation it doesn´t even matter if your theme, your char is "well-dressed". They don´t have any MTX so they´re out. I can´t explain you more how that´s pay to win. I don´t even set it in the normal context like you want aka "position of power over anyone else in terms of gameplay" and i think that wasn´t even ever meaned.

But to answere your question. I was naive and thought GGG would like their non-cartoony and realistic look and therefore would choose 1-3 players that are not using MTX.

In a retroperspective it´s clear that the only income for them are the MTX so it would be silly not to pushing forward such a contest with implying that you can´t look good when you don´t use MTX. Maybe that´s a hyperbole or i get it all in the false throat.

But right now that´s how i look at this matter. If they wanted something to do for the community-pleasure i can only say it backfired in my eyes with not choosing 1-3 non-MTX users.

.... but, actually, i guess its just the general style of all of PoE's clothes look lame ha,so whats there to choose from really? ;P

the big ass horns look soooo stuuupid!

most of those, the only real variation is the MTX... wtf? .. and those helmet wings are lame as hell too ><

Just screenshots in town. (So no Auras or other Skills)
No screenshot editing.

I voted for yours because it is simple and elegant and not much "bling".
The other entries are good as well but too much on the christmas tree side of things for me.

I dont really have an issue with them choosing exiles that have microtransactions, this happened because there just wasnt a large range to select from that didnt have MTX on (not to mention that some of the non-MTX were badly dressed too). Since the majority was wearing MTX, it was always going to be likely that the top 10 have some MTX. Buying cosmetic effects to win a cosmetic competition isnt that suprising, P2W is not a relevant concept for this event because really, no one cares about P2W for fashion shows.

The real issue is that even though the top 10 have MTX, that some of them look kind of bad and even people in the top 10 agree that they saw MANY better/cooler entries. And that the top entry looks awful and will plague us in the game permanently with his ugliness.

I mean, every top 10 entry having microtransactions isn't *that* big a deal. It's more the fact that they all have 100+ dollars or so spent on microtransactions.

Still think two brackets of competition would have sidestepped this issue. Even just a single, much smaller point reward for best-dressed non-MTX exile would have been a pretty nice gesture by GGG.

Using a ridiculous amount of MTX effects to boost yourself to the top of the competition ladder thus resulting in a rogue exile being created in your honor is a very pay to win strategy. I agree mine was much much better hehehe, even quoted 5 times by random people, but hey some like blond, others dark, maybe blue, or some even bright orange.

Taste is a personal opinion, can't really ask for criteria although i do wonder they looked over them with a hangover :P maybe the reason why they not discarded action shots as to there own rules.

and, wtf, dressing competition when there isnt even all the unique's 3d art...
obviously this was "who has most microtransactions competition"
