Also do any of the top ten actually play with the gear they are showing?

Yes, that screenshot was when my EA Marauder was moving through Act 2 Normal wearing Thousand Ribbons, Lochtonial Caress, Meginord's Girdle and using Quill Rain. I generally move the majority of my cosmetic effects over to whichever character I am actively leveling. I think I may have changed my boots for the picture to have something that meshed slightly better.

Note that although we sell Skin Transfer microtransactions, they're not necessary to participate in this competition. You can just wear items with the appearance you want and then take them off after taking your screenshots. You only need to use Skin Transfers if you want to look awesome while playing.

Noteworthy that every single one of the 10 finalists uses microtransactioneffects... appearantly those are obligatory to stand a chance.

Additionally there is only one nonsupporter among the finalists (2 Regal-, 4 Divine- and 3 Exaltedsupporters).

read: not with supporter tag!!

Reeks of objectivity... really.

updated opinion:

Did not change. Same things have been said before, so what? GGG appearantly likes their microtransaction-effects.
Hold on to yer shite load o´ bloody barnacles on me arse-cockles, me hearty!

see bold - you're wrong. period. He supports GGG, there's no way to make have his toon look that way if he didn't... you did look at the pics...didn't you?

It would also help (you) to read some other posts in this thread, it's all broken down nicely for you. I await you're reviewed and updated opinion on this contest after you've done a little research
If these are the entries the Art-department chose, then perhaps they need to take a step back and look at what the gear they've designed looks like in a pure/clean setting, without slapping on 31 MTX, and posibly have a meeting afterwards about why the "base-item"-designs don't appeal to them.

Voting for Kindred for the nice, clean Fencer (well, for the most part), that doesn't look like an American Christmas-tree about to explode.

Rock on
Some of these are really great... some seem to be awful mish-mashes of microtransactions heaped on top of one-another. I really think a few who deserved the top 10 (like that one ranger using no microtransactions, I can't remember the name but they were awesome) didn't make it. Suppose these things are subjective but there's only so many helm effects one can take!

Good luck to all the entrants though!
I bet it desyncs.

lol @ pay 2 win comments (its fair enough)
but yeah i voted Xandro basing it off the winner will be an exile in the game I will meet and fight and xandros pricey set looks sweet.

Deserves the win and into the game with him. Looking forward to killing him ^^
An interesting take, I would too enjoy killing him if I didnt find this 'christmas tree' to be so repulsive.

Honestly it would have been exciting to see RNGesus as a rogue exile because then you would get exited about the items.

Is that just a reflection of the average contest entry being very high on the microntansactionness-scale or is that the judges' particular taste in costume speaking?
Yes, there were a large number of MTX heavy entries and RF users, not really GGG's fault that the ones they chose had MTX. But also I think that the art team has a bias for the helmet they made, which I happen not to like.

I honestly dont mind the people that vote for xandro if they think he looks nice, but I feel like he has gotten a lot of misunderstood-votes from people being under the impression he doesnt have a supporter pack (its highly likely he has one because supporter packs offer the most value for points/other rewards). The results seem too scued to me for me to believe that nothing unfair is going on with the voting system.
