Blue Screen of Death with some sound cards
--softwareaudio does not fix my problem. I do not get BSODs what happens is the game crashes and i get a error about some OGG file.

Yea me too, never had a bsod and never do get them in general, OS is win 7 x64. Game will crash when entering areas with several ogg load failures, very frustrating indeed.
Soundcard is creative XFI Fatal1ty, and the --software fix does nothing for me either.
i hope this issue is fixed in 1.0.0 we will see tomorrow if we can play with sound lol

I can play with no problem with the registry fix but it would be cool if they fixed it in the game for the 1.0 release.

STILL NOT FIXED IN 1.0.0!
Very bad :( | |
Just recovered from a BSOD. I have a .dmp file if needed. Sounds were acting up before the crash, then received a page fault BSOD.
Couldn't play for this very reason in beta. FUAH

I am having more ogg crashes in 1.0.0 than the beta. The only way I am able to not crash is using --nosound.
Soundcard is Creative soundblaster x-fi titanium hd
Having the same problem
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty bluescreens whenever I zone into towns |
|
Simply add "--softwareaudio" in the path line of shortcut. fixed the problem for me in the early beta and now in the released game.

Greetings,
I tried everything suggested in this thread besides the registry edits which i will not do, and the most i could play was around 20-30 mins before it crashed with a BSOD. Please patch this issue. I have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium. |
