Resistance Penalties (and a league to test them!)
The only thing i don't like is that I won't play my HC shadow anymore, because I didn't help kraityn for all resists. Any chance we could get to choose the bandits again?(probably not, but it's worth a try)

You mentioned that this will also apply to PvP once that is fully introduced. Would that mean that if I build an elemental damage char, he would get a 25% damage boost with every difficulty increase, whereas phys damage stays constant?
It has already been suggested, but is it not easier to just reduce the resist mods on gear to be much much smaller than currently, meaning we would need a whole lot of specifiic pieces to hit the cap. |

I do agree resistance %'s are a little outdated, but I'm not sure if I'd like another system more.
Also I put my full trust in the Dev's for this, they have made an amazing game so far, they have catered a bit to the people who are saying the game is too hard, that point I don't agree with but they haven't ruined the game and it's still awesome. I think this addition will need tweaking, and that's what a beta is about. May be in the future things will change, may be this will work well. The only thing I know is GGG will work with the community to get this working the way they intended. |

what if instead of resistance penalties you just rework the bonus resistances that itens grant?
for instance. instead 35% fire. just, 3%... itens giving less resistance will cause the same effect |

I agree, with only two rings i got 60 lighting 60 cold and 55 fire (without taking any resistance node) but i think u should increase the cap to 80-85%, why? because 25 is still too much dmg even more when u are full tank.
While against normal mobs u can have 90% pd reduction u only have 75 against mages and man that hurts at pyramids and even more on maps with elemental weakness. Also i know it doesnt belong here but curses like elemental weakness and time chains should be nerfed towards pvp (it will be imposible to kill someone when he curses u with time chains and if u curse him too... well it will be boring and pointless. |

Say good by to most uniques getting used. Gear slots will be to important. Why waste one on a gimic when your have 450% resistances you need.

Life builds already have mandatory +Life on gear, boots have mandatory +movespeed, and now everything has mandatory +resists EDIT: Lol this is just a 15 level nerf to all merciless players. 5 points into each resist. Why not do something actually intuitive like new status effects, and more aggressive enemy AI? Or the ability for enemies to use things like frost wall, traps and totems? Why aren't resistances just tallied up like armor points?
Then the level zone you're in modifies the percentage resistance. That way you need to stack resistance points, but you never go negative. IGN @dime
