@GGG: Nice work on the patch. Game is loading quicker and seems smoother.

And awesomeness for posting alternate places to down load it, and more thanks to the community for helping out. That's what it's all about.

Ended up grabbing it from the third edit in the original post. A 50 min no stress DL.

The patcher does not lose data. It restarts at 0% of whatever was remaining (which you can tell if you compare the remaining size to the original download size). It's not immediately clear that it does this.

anyway, the game runs much better, I sustain 200 fps. But I still can't turn on sound or it drops 50fps and load times are high again. can you fix sound next please?

O.k., if anyone is using a U.S. based download server, thats the problem. You need to switch to a London based server, I did and it downloaded the whole patch in 10 minutes, after running 6 hours on u.s. server. In another words, you download a program, https://www.privatetunnel.com/index.php/my-services.html.....located here.....and "trick" your internet into thinking you are based in another country...by assigning you a new ISP...which states you are in said country. It's so easy if you know how to use a computer. You need to sign up and confirm with your e-mail address. Then log into private tunnel...it will say connected in bottom right corner.....also, when you log into "google" it will say U.K. google...then just push on your path of exile launch game.."the one you log into the game normally with" and it will download in 10 minutes.

Also, it will not effect your current process by stopping it to switch over...When it restarts...It will say "whatever % left"...and start from that amount...so when you see 0% again, its not downloading the 1.8 gigs over, its doing the amount what you haven't downloaded yet. Also, in the beginning, it seems like it is going as slow as it was on U.S. server, but its just checking to see what you have, then it will fly after a few minutes.

d/ling this torrent on utorrent @ almost 2mb/s atm. They currently have over 1k seeds and it looks like that pool is only getting bigger.

Edit now currntly holding at 5mb/s. The reddit thread shows many people willing to seed. I know I'll see this for a week or so @ 8-10megs up.

Not many ... a ton of people went to torrents. So the p2p seeds from the client have dropped dramatically.
