0.11.4 Patch Notes
" The point of auras isn't to "have as many auras as you possibly can", it's to "pick and choose which auras would benefit you most if you're capable of running them". Sure, my Duelist would love to have both Haste and Determination, but because he's Blood Magic and has no feasible way of using a percentage aura, I have to forego those luxuries. Do you see me whining about not being able to run those auras? No. Now if they introduce a unique item with "Gems in this item have Blood Magic", make it an armor, and give it good armour or evasion, then yeah, my Duelist would be able to use that and spec out of Blood Magic in favor for getting percentage-based auras. However, I'm happy enough with a 200 mana aura giving me an extra 6000 armour. Since I didn't build my character around this aura snapshotting exploit, I'm largely unaffected, so while people keep whining and complaining that their build is now dead because of the bug fix, I'll just be sitting over here doing things like I usually do because, like I stated above, it doesn't affect me at all. | |
and lets get real - people will still exploit this (well, maybe not the alpha howl stuff) - just not each time they start playing but each time they start map. it will look retarded while playing in group but oh well..
so keep these covenants/stimulas in your stash and prepare to do LOTS of gem swapping each time you use town portal. hey, this is indirect nerf to alt-f4 spell.. |

Reading these major patch notes from time to time since i quit, still nothing about heavily reducing desync by giving up that retarded stance of no acceptance of client-side state.
Oh well, till the next major patch. |

Will the animations thing do something about desync? I decided to stop playing despite the fact that I adore this game. It's so frustrating right now.

" alpha howl (or any other snapshot like using tabula rasa to snapshot 6link spectre and then use 1link) trick (swapping) requires doing that in town covenant/stimula - that is casting auras on life without cost penalty - currently need to be done only once per gaming session and they are obviously done not in town i use that method of putting auras cheaply on life currently. an probably will use that 'once per town portal' still as blood magic gem has simply incredibly steep price penalty and once you get the routine it is like 5 seconds extra. stupid albeit effective |

" I understand you frustration and rage. The fact is that armour and evasion on armor pieces arent very useful. That's why ES wins. I think, GGG should just change armour/evasion mechanics, to make them much better and useful For example, armour protects only from physical damage. Why i ever need armour, if i can spam Enduring cry and Immortal call? And i can have 3000 armour just from flask... Evasion saves from attacks with elemental/chaos damage, but all spells still bypass it. And evasion isnt reliable, BTW. CI and ES isnt an issue, no. They are so great just because armour and evasion both SUCK! If they would be fixed, then life will be viable again, and armour+ES or evasion+ES pieces will be wiable too... IGN: MortalKombat

Can people that use a blood magic aura snapshot die from zoning after this update? Seems like it could happen if the reserve=life.
