In my opinion a tat should have a background story. I just wouldn't know how to explain that tat to a girlfriend, future kids, future grandkids, colleagues, other inmates, etc.

Can't it be just for artwork? Not everything needs a reason to be done. If you didn't know about this game it would look like some evil, bloody, mean looking monster. I've seen worse on people

Overall when it comes to people's opinion on tattoos there will be always pessimists; to each their own.

I myself have over 250+ hours of combined tattoo work, equivalent to a small car investment. When people ask me why I got them I tell them that each tattoo has a specific meaning and memory associated to it.

It's definitely an addiction.

I'm not hateful. I think it looks pretty bad honestly.
The proportions are way off, the arm is so small compared the the rest of brutis' body.
From a perspective's standpoint his arm should be even larger, this is pretty basic stuff.
You probably could find a better artist to do this work in the future, and they may even be able to fix this one.

Dude, look at things like marriage equality and racism and all that shit. Society's gotten more accepting over time. Sure, the "you must act this way to be successful" view is definitely in a lot of people's minds, but individual people don't last forever. Eventually people with a different view on what you should do or who are more open-minded will take their place, and the trend's been pretty progressive in general in recent history thankfully.
