Hmm, I don't think it will work on spells, sounds to me like it works for attacks only.

There is spells which are projectile aswell, u should know that, and it works if you ask next question. Vall Arc works alot well nad EK also.

No one would waste a Shield Slot for a potential 45-100% Increased Damage, not to mention the wasted Passives and/or Support Gem and/or Curse to even achieve that...

This quiver will probably drop after leagues will end, note, that those discontinued after last guinea pigs league season had mods connected with those leagues. This is not connected with those mods.

No it won't. ALL Uniques that are 4-Month League Only, do not drop once those Leagues end, nor can they be Chanced. They become Retired Legacies. Though they will most likely appear as Alternate Art Race Rewards in the future.

GGG are usually very good with their wording (cough iron grip), but it does say projectile damage and not projectile attack damage. Just as how broadstroke works with EK quivers seem to have a bit more flexibility.

Piercing CoC fireballs with that quiver could be potentially devastating given the fireball buff.

I would as I use a quillrain barrage CoC. With pierce passive + 20% pierce gem, its double damage to my fireballs!

Exactly, if they mentioned 'arrow' in the same sentence you can be almost sure it doesn't apply to projectile spells.

Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Maybe, I get a feeling it works with projectile spells though, can someone test this? Looking at the level 30 damage of fireball, if this could potentially double that damage....
it clearly states:

"projectile damage increased by Arrow pierce chance"

so I can guarantee the damage will apply to projectile spells, BUT you must have arrow pierce chance

Example: if a spell naturally has pierce chance as a quality bonus or something it won't buff your projectile damage. But if you're linking your arrow attack to a "pierce" support gem and take the bow pierce nodes in the tree, you will have all your projectile damage boosted, including projectile spells.

Not double damage, it's Increased Damage, so unless you have NO other Increased Damage Passives or on Gear, then yes, it would be double damage.

And the Pierce Gem gives way more than 20%, like 56%+ or so..

Edit: Like Demivion says, for Spells it'd probably cap at 45% Increased Damage, which isn't better than a generic Spell Damage Shield.

Pierce gem 20%q gives somewhere around 70% pierce from memory + 10% implicit from that bow + 35% passive. 110% spell on a quiver, yes shields might be much better but you can't use quillrain with that. Definately sounds like the best quiver for quillrain CoC atm.

The 20/20 gem gives 74% Pierce chance.
