No, as the aura is a degen effect and not damage being applied through an attack or spell

Maybe a few chaos if you spam trade chat a ton. For me its hardly worth the effort, but to each his own I guess. Perfectly rolled common uniques don't always change the value very much. Again, common uniques would still be very prevalent, I don't see why they have to drop so much in maps or even the end of merciless.

I don't really look at it that way since it would still be pretty easy to get what you want from common uniques.

This seems like an entitlement issue, you expect uniques to be good when they drop instead of just being a bonus. Uniques are not devalued as a whole, some are just worth more than others. You're not missing out because a low level unique drops, it didn't replace a Shavronne's Wrappings or a Soul Taker.


You can argue entitlement if I was asking for a buffed drop rare of uncommon uniques but thats not what this is about. I feel like the current system sets up the uniques in this game to look like garbage to many players and a disappointment. I don't mind if you disagree, everyone has an opinion.

I do not agree with that. Uniques are not rares, they are vastly different in purpose.

I don't mean to QQ, but this whole "Common Uniques" discussion has gone on for over 10 pages now.

Can we like.. move it to a more appropriate thread? We don't want another 600 pages of worthless txt for ignarsoll to sort through in just his first month now do we?

So, let's see again with the new information that Mark gave us. Some potentials for the Volt bow could be:

LA -> ALD -> ACD -> LMP -> Chain -> WED

LA -> ALD -> ACD -> GMP -> ML -> FA/FP/WED

SpA -> Fork/Pierce/Chain -> ALD -> ACD -> LL/LoH -> ML

Obviously plenty of other combinations, but there is one thing that is concerning. This bow has very little physical damage and as such mana leech will be an issue if you decide to go that route and not Blood Magic. Though Blood Magic may not be so bad since you'd really only need to run Grace, Wrath, and Anger, although going the mana route could allow for Determination and even Purity if you go AH or something like that. Although not going Blood Magic means you'll need a decent mana pool for at the minimum Grace and Wrath...gah...will have to do calculations for that. :p But back on track, going the mana route means you'd need a Mana Leech gem for one of your slots unless you want to use mana potions I suppose. Again, still thinking it all out, but something to consider.

It's still exclusionary, you're arguing to block people from getting them in maps hence players who want them while playing in maps can't get them. You're basically putting your desire to not have them drop over other players preferred play style. The player you want to force to farm docks or what ever zone for item X might not want to do that but instead do maps.

They look like garbage to you, it's an issue with how you chose to see them which is why I'm saying it seems like an entitlement issue. If it isn't why is it an issue, you won't get more good uniques if they are removed from maps.

Not really, gear is gear, unique or rare they fill the same purpose.
