That was D2. Well, that certainly is interesting and I was unaware of these facts. Still, I think people are trying to make something out of nothing. As I said, I dont think this is out of the realm of possibility. Perhaps in the future there may be a recipe utilizing this unique but I really dont think that time is now. Veil is obviously not the first homage to D2, if in fact that is what the item is, and I havent seen any convincing evidence just yet that supports this recipe theory. I agree that Veil hardly seems to mesh with the GGG hint. It's just not logical, especially compared to how well a fishing rod does confirm the hint. I am almost certain it will be a unique fishing rod, probably 'song of the siren' as shown earlier in the thread. Since it hasn't dropped, perhaps you have to use a fishing rod in a recipe or secret riddle thing. Maybe you have to kill merveil with one. I dunno. Some hidden mechanic like that would make sense with GGG telling us it may take longer to find than most. On the other hand, since very few white fishing rods seem to have dropped in the first place, maybe it just has a very low droprate. Though it would make me a bit sad if it was indeed just that fishing rod thingy. It has no (known) use after all and I'm inclined to believe it is just a gimmick item, just like the feathers seem to be. i hope for the sake of the supporter who paid a lot of money for that Veil of the night that it is used in some upgrading recipe, otherwise its a very poor item if not(as you have no penalty to res in normal anyway).
