Assuming the best case scenario, where you have 100% crit chance, you will go to 40% crit chance, and for what? 100 multiplier over other amulets? We are talking about cutting your damage by like 70% overall or more here.

It's almost like the less was supposed to be reduced crit chance.

Yeah, I did some basic math here:

Since your non-crit attacks suck balls now, you would need to get as high a crit chance as possible.

The 60% less crit chance effectively turns your 12% wand into a ~5% wand. To get a 96% crit chance, you would need over 2000% increased crit chance. If you can only afford 1500%, that's 72%.

With all the gear and passives you're throwing into crit chance, you could just as easily throw it all into crit multiplier and other effects that increase your damage (or, heaven forbid, put a little bit of energy into defense so you won't get one-shot!). The only thing this really gives you is culling strike on crits. Everything else (including buckets of damage) can be achieved through gems and rare gear.

Actually for crit builds it can be killer dps... 150 multi, that's almost another Aby.
Also you don't lose 60% crit chance, you lose 60% crit chance of weapon. So let's say 10% base crit, you lose 6% crit. If you got enough crit chance nodes, on gear and power charges. Yeah, this could make the dps quite high. And there are already guys with 95% crit chance when charged... so reduce that to 89% and add that multi... insane. Well I hope prices on that go crap... so I can buy it for test. :)

EDIT: You lose 6% crit total, not on the weapon like some said... Your 10% crit chance dagger for say is still gonna be 10%. Just your total crit chance from 50% to 47%.



It's very niche, and requires killer fleshed out build, godly dagger/wand. Still, I think one could make it work. :) Makes me think about removing chayula... But would hate the inconsistency and need to keep power charges up.

I think you confuse "less" (multiplicatively) for "reduced" (additively). I also don't see the ammy specify for weapon crit.

The guys with 100% crit chance will have 40% with it.

The Amulet is LESS, as in multiplicative, regardless of how that is calculated (Off the base of the weapon, or just affecting the increases and such) Its pretty awful. The first time i read that amulet i thought it was "60% increased critical strike chance" because that made the most sense to my brain, it wouldnt even be that amazing if that WAS the stat.

As it is, its fucking awful.
"Less multiplier, more crit" neck would've been better.
According to some math, you will need over 1200% Increased Crit Chance on an 10% crit weapon, coupled with a crit multiplier roughly less than 230% in order to make that amulet increase your damage output. For that kind of effort I would really expect better returns.

The last unique is the Daresso's armor, correct?

I can't see any redeeming features about that amulet whatsoever. The drawbacks are extremely harsh for such modest benefits. It's a big crit multi but the cull is negligible and the other stats are borderline useless. You need more crit chance than ever to make up for it, but the more you have, the more you lose. It just doesn't make sense. Am I missing something? I really can't see how this got through balance.
