I love how people devalue uniques with their first look.
The same happened when Shavronne's Wrappings were found the first time.

The guy's main point was that it should drop in low level questing areas where it is wanted and not in end game maps where its just another wasted item, of many.

When they put on a build enabling modifier like "chaos damage cannot bypass energy shield" I will give that axe all the credit it deserves. Everyone knew Shavronnes was mega popular and powerful the moment it came out. Only a bunch of elitests who felt like arguing ever tried to devalue it, probably because they knew how awesome it would be and didn't want people calling it OP.

No the result would be less vendor trash uniques overall. Less diappointment overall when you see a unique drop and realize it's something you're going to throw away.

Because low level items with socket/link potential way beyond their required level are completely worthless...

You're right, Quill Rain should only drop from monsters level 5 or lower, limiting it to 3 sockets/links.

You mean I would no longer feel disappointed at seeing worthless uniques that I don't really need over and over again...and then either 1) vendoring, 2)leaving on the ground, or 3) Trying to find more room in my stash?

Where do I sign???

Edit: Sockets/Links is just a bad excuse. Just give all uniques the ability to roll the highest. Anything is better than the way it is now.
