I'm following this build and am level 32. So far i am the weakest member of parties, and i have the Death's harp with Lightning arrow, weapon elemental damage, and lesser multiple projectiles gems. should i use different gems at this stage where i can really only have 3 links? Also, should i focus on any specific gear to boost my skills. Finally, i run out of mana rather quickly ... i don't want to spend points on mana since i'm going for the blood magic, but that will take time. is this normal and i just need to grind or should i make a change?

Add in LGoH and switch to Blood Magic. I can't recall exactly what level I made the switch, but it was right around 32.

Does anyone have any idea (I am asking just out of curiosity) what happens if you use LA and blackgleam? Do you then do no physical dmg? (50% taken by LA, 50% by BG)
Also, can you still have both shock, burn and frozen applied to a mob at the same time? This was working in CB, but I haven't tested it in OB but I played with my friend that had Lioneye's Bow Crit build (going up shadow tree etc) and I only saw mobs either shocked, frozen or burning, where in CB I remember doing ele cleave and seeing mobs frozen and burning at same time (it was silly but yea, iced mob had fire on it). As for this build, it is pretty much the same as immortal ranger (which is good build) difference is, this build takes A LOT of armor nodes, which kinda doesn't make too much sense when armor is most needed (big hits will go through it), and for small junk mobs, granite flask does a very good job and refills in a second when you kill off junk mobs. It's just my personal opinion that getting even more life nodes might be better defense (or more dmg nodes, whatever, LL count's elemental dmg we do as well). Oh, almost forgot: do auras (wrath, anger) apply their dmg to projectile (I think so) or to weapon? If they apply this dmg to projectiles, do ele weapon % dmg nodes even work with those auras? How does this work exactly? I thought that with 3ele dmg bow they will ofc boost those stats on the bow, and not auras, but with lioneye's glare, do those nodes work? I m ean, it clearly says "Weapon elemental damage" on the node, and lioneyes's has no elemental dmg on it, an d LA is a skill (not weapon) and auras are..well..idk...I am just wondering if it would be better to not use weapon elemental damage nodes but go for the projectile damage nodes in duelist part instead?! " Hard to read... weapon elemental damage will affect any weapon strikes you deal which consist of at least some elemental damage - If you have a lionseye but have flat elemental damage from rings/amulets etc, then it does have elemental damage just not base. LA is a weapon skill, you can't use it without a weapon - and it uses the weapon anyway - you shoot arrow from the bow. |
