- A visual for Chaos Inoculation : 1 hp and only energy shield should be seen, you're like etheral, near non-physically existent. So make the flesh blue transclucent. Generally make cosmetic for big nodes would be cool.

- Different postures for character in town would be great

- Flying magic familliar like that :

small and quick little thing.

Aura microtransaction effect: dragonball z style

instead of the ground only aura animations, make it similar to super saiyan power auras when they charge up, different auras will show different colors for the corresponding auras.

Spoiler

Super Saiyan hair headgear microtransaction effect:

another one would be:

Yellow spiky hair headgear microtransaction effect that will fit the character so it looks like a super saiyan.

Edit:
Sample image for Vitality Aura effect (sorry for quality, i got mad mspaint skillz)

My submission for the Microtransaction effect:

Name: Verdant Footprints

The best way to show off this idea is to show you the original video it comes from.

@ 12 - 17 seconds you can see the animation I'm talking about:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTszjt0gts8
(Princess Mononoke's Forest Spirit footprints)

This is the first thing I thought of when I saw the new footprint micros. It doesn't have to be this detailed of course if it were actually implemented, but this is the general idea. As you walk grass/plants/flowers would sprout up around your feet and bloom fully, and then during your next foot step they would start to shrink and then wither up and die before fully fading out of view. This action shows the cycle of life in its rawest form, and depicts that both life and death are intertwined together in a cycle. To me this represents the "Verdant" path perfectly, and would also tie in very well with other Verdant effects already in existence; Plus how many of us fellow geeks/nerds haven't seen Princess Mononoke before?

It is potentially problematic after thinking it through a bit, but I am very interested in being able to turn the unique artwork from race items into re-useable skins. What this means is that if I am on hardcore I could die on a character with my cool shiny wanderlust boots, but then reclaim the art to apply to a different pair of wanderlust shoes that are still in hardcore.

I guess for this to be a microtransaction it would need to be an art storage elixir (or something less corny sounding) that when you use it, it sucks up the art and then you pour the elixir onto the new target item. I'd pay to be able to do that. =)

firstly , free bumpage for the coolest thread on forum :) what an awesome community we have :) in this we are blessed (not the orb though yuk !)

simple but effective , glowing eyes for chars . in a variety of colours ( even changing colours or trails ect..)

anyhoo thats my tuppence worth :) keep up the good work

Two ideas:

First one turns you into a chicken. Everything about your character is the same, in that you can still attack, run and cast, except you are a chicken.

Voice acting is replaced by chicken noises. When you first get up on the beach, you view the dark seashore, and cluck with desolation at the dark times to come.

The chicken will be about half the height of the marauder.

Idea two:

A chest armour affect that replaces the look of every item equipped with dark spiky demon armour. You are dripping with dark fire and blood. You leave scorched footprints as you walk. You are now death incarnate.

This is a good idea of how it would look:

It would be applied to the chest piece, and would change for the type of armour its used on.

So by the end of it, there would be 6 different versions of the armour (1 for armour/es/evade and the combinations).

The pure armour chest would look like the pic. The INT chest might be magic robes that cape the user in darkness. The DEX gear would look sharp, agile, and fast.

This isn't actually feasible to implement (within a reasonable budget and timespan). But fun to imagine.

What about a destroyed armour effect ?
It could look like you just escaped an epic battle and every pieces of your armour would look torn appart.
Good contest by the way.
Good day,

I am not sure if this was mentioned before.

Something that I think can be added for character animations.

Include a package that has simple emotion effects and gestures.

Sit, laugh, cry, wave, kneel, blow kiss, mooning ^^, shoulder shrugs, anything really.

Perhaps include sounds with the actions.

Regards

A dragon pet, not a tiny one, but a huge dragon. How? It actually never appears on the screen itself, you can only see it's shadow on the ground from time to time when it flies by. You can hear the deep flapping of its wings. Rarely in outdoor areas a massive roar can be heard with a short flash of fiery light illuminating the ground. In underground areas you will have to be content with subdued, angry roars.
