Stats refactor - The way in which damage is calculated has been changed, to make future expansion easier. Most of this is internal and won't affect gameplay. The following effects will be seen in game:




is it just me, or did (chris) you forget to add the following effects?

Did you overlook the bullet under that? :P

I wonder exactly how the stat refactor works in regards to damage formulae. Could significantly change damage scaling, though they said it won't affect anything... Hmm.

I don't personally know about any special problems with that specific pair of gems, but I'll talk to the other devs once they're in the office tomorrow to see if it's a known issue. Awesome. Posted about this I think in bugs section like 2 months ago or something. I had faster attacks - cyclone - multistrike - life leech - melee physical and ran ledge. Cyclone through a mob to the other side, wait about 3 seconds before seeing them all get face slapped and crumble. Was funny but also impossible to play anything more than ledge and irritating.

Patch looks good. Kind of curious what the calculations are for spell and physical damage.

I second that! Installed 64bit Win7 and my crashes went down to almost forgettable levels -- like once or twice a week.

Physical damage on items is now scaled by physical damage bonuses (in a similar way to how elemental damage worked before).

So how exactly will the new diamond flask work?
I understand that it will roll 2 crit chances and pick the highest, but will your current crit chance effect the rolls which the flask does?

With Diamond flask active, your crit chance would be (1-(1-critchance)^2)*100%, right?

I thought this was one of the best parts of the patch. Never played WoW, but the same artwork for gear throughout the game with different levels is quite annoying. Especially when looking through the stash for certain items.

Lookin' forward to trying this new flask out. I'm hoping it's not nerfed too much.
