Physical Siphon Witch (AuxTheDriven) [Standard]
I'm making my first character, is this build suitable for new players/first characters? I've done a lot of planning and this seems like a really nice build. I'm just not familiar with item costs and funding requirements.

Hey guys!
My witch is level 50 now, I've leveled so far with FP. Just became CI and I have 2.6k ES. I've been running nothing but Clarity so far, but now with Discipline I'm having some mana problems. While using FP and 2 Mana Flaks I'm fine, with PS is just impossible to do it. I'm on Onslaught, so my build is a bit of a mix of Kripps and yours: Current build

Yes, my dps is pretty low. I got only these two to help me: What do you guys suggest? Mana leech gem? Future build may look like

Edit: I'm level 55, 3.1k ES. Will get to Elder Power in 2-3 levels. Still going with FP, but I don't want invest in it so my dps is quite bad. Can handle FP with or without Clarity. English is not my first language. Last edited by digdigo#0656 on Aug 2, 2013, 2:50:06 PM

I have done alot of testing with a similar build. I hope to get my hands on a 3 mod physical wand at some point. I calculated tornado wand to be able to get around 151-356 base damage, absolute best rolls.
So my main goal is to use vaal pact and iron reflexes in order to deal with physical reflect. Yes it will get tons of crit multiplier so its needed. Even now I had a few near death experiences with physical reflect packs (mostly the zombies in water). Biggest problem is if you don't notice and you just fire away, your regen won't be able to keep up. I still want to get a bit of lightning damage in order to shock. The big trick with physical wanders is finding gem combinations which will benefit both physical damage and elemental. As Aux found out I'm also quite convinced that the best is BBRGGG. That is atleast if you go the crit multiplier route, as shown: Now for my build I actually get 200 strength from the tree and around 90-120 from gear. So if you pick Iron grip that's a stunning 60% which will benefit projectile damage - both ele and physical. In comparison Fusillade gives you only 36% with 6 charges and they have to be active. Now you might also use the Iron grip gem instead of reduced mana if you steal/mana pool is high enough. quality will give you an additional 15% projectile damage. My build: Any thoughts? hey dude I wanna try your build but I think its kinda expensive talking about gear, and im not a rich guy, am I wrong or should I try it?

" Just a thought, Iron Grip only affects projectile physical damage, not elemental. What do you guys think about replacing Inc Crit Damage with Additional Accuracy? It boosts my accuracy from ~70% to ~90% and gives crit chance as well. Quite a pain stack accuracy on gear in addition to other mods. |

" Good stuff, looks like a solid build. BBRGGG is a good color combo; as you already know, I run BRGGGG on mine; blind gem is very underrated imo. Good luck on your wand search! Still crafting any atm? "The Eye of Ra appears against you,

If there is ever downtime between long term leagues and I get burned out on hardcore, I will definitely be going back to this character. One of the changes I am definitely making is dropping the Faster Attacks from the 6L and adding a quality Additional Accuracy. It helps with both mana and adds tremendous damage in terms of actual damage dealt, where FA just makes you burn mana faster. It will probably also allow me to replace the reduced mana with LL or WED depending on map mods. I'll also have an Auxium to use whenever the current leagues end and I can't wait to give it a test run.

" Iron grip effects all projectile damage including elemental. You can try out the gem if you like :-) " I like the idea about additional accuracy, I don't know if higher monster levels will come out (doubt it since it since lvl 100 would get easier), but the idea is that additional accuracy scales better with content. Aux your item is awesome! Not only does it solve all your mana issues, but it will make it easier too if you do 50% regen or no regen maps! Btw Aux I have jelly on your jewelry. Damn those rings are good! :P Last edited by Harmster#3342 on Aug 12, 2013, 6:06:51 AM

" " Is what the Wiki says. I'll test this sometime though. |

Fact: Iron Grip only adds physical projectile damage.
It may add some elemental damage secondarily from physical -> elemental addition or conversion via Wand Cold/Fire/Lightning Damage nodes or Hatred, but that's not from the talent / gem itself. IGN: Aux Last edited by Aux#2409 on Aug 12, 2013, 9:18:55 PM
