Open Beta Supporter Packs
" Also, during CB people could opt out of physical goods to receive extra points. So for people dead set on 'pack prices being unfair', perhaps you could msg support and ask if you'd get the remaining 'missing' points by forfeiting physical goods? Or at least partially? That is at least for 110+ ones |

@exorzist:
Totally get your Points & also understand that You really are offended by the new Packs. I just think GGG did try to keep some of our CB-Goodies special, even if it is true some Things now are not really that anymore (Unique, ...) Would be sorry to loose a fellow Supporter because of that, Keep calm, play PoE, drink Tea & listen to Prog!

" Yes, also the women who play can have shirts that fit well :) My shirt from CB is awesome, but too big so doesn't look too great on me. Last edited by Jennfire#7870 on Jun 7, 2013, 7:49:44 AM

" you are just jealous that other people now get real goods for showing their support? and if you cooled down a bit and restart thinking you may notice that ggg does make less money from donations now by providing not just microtransactions (which costs does not scale for them) but real goods. in my view it was a mistake not providing supporter packs worth 3, 5 or 10k dollars in closed beta cause there are really rich altruistic guys out there who support idealism. it was probably due to the fact that ggg felt they cannot compensate the donator for that much money with the current staff they had. i love them for their attitude. to come back on topic, given the fact that the company was privately funded, exists since 2007 (7 years now) and chris said he will enlarge the dev team ... what's your opinion? how large are costs for 20-30 specialists working constantly overtime and shifts + running a office building for that time and in the future? if you think the guys are still sitting in a small garage and living at their mothers house for low costs youre dead wrong. well hopefully :) age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

I was just about to buy the divine pack as i find it pretty cool and have been impressed by GGGs work and the game in general.
But then, litterally seconds before i pressed the "buy" button i thought of how they we're unwilling to aid me with support the one time i needed it. A few days ago while deleting some low level race chars and accidently deleted my main, GGG opted not to help me by restoring it. Now dont get me wrong, i am well aware that i myself am to blame, still i find it a little disappointing that they chose to act the way they did, especially knowing that some other companys would have solved the situation. Why would i support them with hundreds of dollars for some cosmetic effects when they choose not to support me when needed? Apart from that, pretty good game and nice developers, hope PoE has a bright future ahead =) |

I got the impression that GGG was open to 'negotiation' when it came to the digital content in the closed beta packs. I can see myself getting an exalted pack sooner rather than later, but given I already have a diamond pack I can't really see the value in another unique + avatar. Given that this is more than likely a fairly large component of the cost of upgrading from the $270 packs to the $1500 one, would it be possible to say buy an exalted pack + pay an additional $X for some of the other effects on top of what the exalted pack gives you (I am crazy in love with the flying rhoa)?
