Sadly, you did not understand what I wrote.
I wrote about "normal players".
Normal player will never get 1500 fusings in their playtime. 6L is never an option for normal players. If a normal player finds an Eternal Orb, he will use it as currency for trading some better gear.
The same is with Exalted Orb. A normal player will never use an Exalted on a piece of gear or map, with a decent chance to get +1 thorns or lightning radius or... A normal player will trade the Exalt for 20 Chaos, then trade some better gear from it.
I have 15~ days played and i've used about 20 Exalted orbs in crafting, so i guess playing more then 15 days in the period of 4 months isn't normal, hmm .. ?

I just fail to see which would be the so called "direct melee buffs". Apart from new leagues I was the most enthusiastic about the announced changes to buff melee.
The re-balance with physical damage / armor / eva / HP... affect both ranged and melee alike, so melee is still inferior to, or less viable than ranged. Unless there will be passive buffs for specific melee weapons or something?
Yes you are completely right. There is no melee buff within this patch. They are just nerfing all mobs and destroy kaoms uberness (imo the only good thing about this so called "re-balancing"). But hey, now we can faceroll with our ranged characters. ;( This is the worst "re-balancing" I can even imagine and for sure this will not bring anyone back, that quitted because there is no reason to play a melee or invite a melee into a group. From a melee point of view this patch is nothing but a keen disappointment, after they promised us some "direct melee buffs". I really believed in their words and I bet I'm not the only one out there that feels betrayed now.
Physical damage nodes (both general and weapon-specific) have been substantially increased.

Substantial Rebalance
Several areas of the game have been significantly rebalanced. We've reduced all monster damage and have made corresponding reductions to player Life and Energy Shield passive skills. Physical damage nodes (both general and weapon-specific) have been substantially increased. As a result of these changes, characters rely less on life than they did previously. Defensive options such as armour are substantially stronger now, more than offsetting the lower life totals.
In response to those core changes, we've rebalanced many other areas of the game. Some examples include: Acrobatics now halves Energy Shield and Armour rather than removing them. Rustic Sashes now provide 12-24% Physical Damage instead of 3-5%. The Savant node in the Witch starting area has been changed to Elemental Dominion which gives +20 Intelligence and +20% Spell Elemental Damage. We've also addressed the power of some passive skills that were basically mandatory in previous versions.
Melee characters gain the most from these changes, but many previously underpowered builds have also improved.
The re-balance is not balanced at all... you basically killed dual claw builds that require alot of Intelligence by reducing "Savant" nodes from 30 to 20... not only that, but the so called 20% Spell Elemental Damage that is added, is USELESS to a claw weilder. NOTE: To make claw users viable, reduce the amount of intelligence required to weild them.
Reducing Monster damage and also Reducing Life / Energy Shield nodes is a stalemate... there is no difference what-so-ever, UNLESS, you increase the base DUAL defense of items (Armor + Energy Sheild type armors etc).
Increasing Rustic Sash with Physical damage is good, but there is no way I will give up a Life belt on my summoner on Hardcore.
END NOTE: I do look forward to the changes even though I disagree with some of it.
You already need 150ish int to be able to cat blue auras. Don't see the issue.

That's 8 hours a day, every day, for 4 months.
No. No it's not normal. Some people have jobs bro.

And how the heck you had 20 exalts in 15 days when most people haven't seen more than one in months, if any? Even statistical outliers have a limit...

well getting dropped some really good rare or some pricey uniques just means you got lucky with the rng. the only other way to come by that much exalted is playing the market because you sure as hell did not loot them.

Looks like a good patch over all. I'm excited for the new leagues. Been waiting on some form of "ladder" style league for a while. I think Eternal Orb is a great addition. That is insanely useful to crafters. We should start seeing a much improved top end item selection from this.

He means 15 days in total game time. Not like he started playing 15 days ago.
Even so, 15 days of play time across 4 months, is 8 hours a day, for 7 days a week. This guy either has no job, or responsibilities whatsoever, or as soon as he's off work/school/home from hanging out, he's on PoE until he falls asleep.
That's not a "normal" schedule at all.

15 days played, is not the same as 15 days. 15 days played is 360 hours logged in game. That's a huge amount of time. Plenty enough to have found gg gear to trade for 20 exalted to use for crafting.
Also to the above who failed horribly at math, that's only 3 hours and some change a day for 7 days a week over 4 months. Which is completely "normal".
