Path of Exile 0.11.0
My 71 acro/sword ranger is disappoint :-\
Can't say I'm excited about the items that are only going to be available in the new leagues as well which will eventually make their way into hardcore where my characters there can't get them short of my playing in the new leagues. Hoping the whole 'rebalance' thing doesn't make things easier on the whole. Failure (dying) is what makes success (living). Wondering too if any of my builds will be 'broken' and require a recrafting (or scrapping). Not sure if I want to play in the new leagues or not. The special items are a reason to do so, but can't say I'm excited about that kind of motivation to play the new leagues. Is adding special more difficult areas to hardcore not an option (where these items could potentially drop)? And owning 90 freaking uniques at the end of the league for the challenge... what the fuck? Is there going to be some special tab for holding all that shit? That alone makes me not want to bother going for the shirt. And I hope the 6 level 60s don't have to stay alive beyond that as holding up 6 char slots as well would be lame. Already using a lot of my slots for hardcore mules since 4 stash tabs just isn't enough. Eternal Orb is interesting, although who knows when or if I'll ever get opportunity to use it... eventually I suppose after I actually find one and find/make (with 9001 alts) something worth using it on. Can see how it would make crafting a perfect item substantially easier though... and then once a few perfect items are in the mix people are going to mirror them like crazy. Guess this doesn't affect me too much since thus far I've been 100% solo with all my hardcore chars and no trading. But will make other people more powerful and die less and further the divide. Maybe I'll stop playing full solo/self-found. Not really sure how to feel about this patch. Guess I'll just have to see how it plays out a bit to judge it. Guess when you call your game beta experimenting a bit is the name of the game and to be expected. Diablo 2 had substantial changes post release, some of which I found highly irritating and were part of why I never bought and played LoD. |

Really wish we could get some specifics on the passive tree, so we cuold start planning ahead.. All in all, this looks amazing tho

"diablo 2 resets were a way to extend a game years after it came out. and does it really matter what a different game did? |

" ^ What he said. Can't believe onslaught won't have these. |

Bravo GGG.
This patch looks awesome - just by the sheer amount of hard work that apparently went into it. I feel like I'm supporting a company that actually gives a damn about their product. Thanks for the quality update and I look forward to more awesomeness. Edit: Just wanted to add that I wish more people had more patience. The amount of childish posts and complaining about not getting things immediately from a small gaming company must be really frustrating for a small group of developers. Be patient. Mandatory Cliche - The Game Is Still In Beta. I look forward to how these guys continue to improve this game, thanks. Last edited by xodrul#4702 on May 31, 2013, 7:58:06 PM

This is awesome, and reminds me so much of how D2 progressed. I have been waiting for a game like this since D2 and hoped D3 was it but GGG have come through with an awesome game that can only get better.
Well done guys :-) |

I am sad that Onslaught won't have the Anarchy exiles. Otherwise I am really hyped for this patch.

" I read it just fine, thank you. All it says is that armor is 'substantially stronger now', which is rather vague. Ok...fine...it's stronger, but how? Does it mean that armor is going to reduce the spikiness of larger hits better? Does it mean that 'crushing blows' that seem to burst through armor are going away or will be much more reduced? Does it potentially mean that armor may help fight against stuns from hits? What does it mean when they say that 'armor is substantially stronger'...that's the specifics I am asking about and wanting to know. Because if armor isn't going to be helping against larger spike/burst damage in terms of those mechanics staying the same as they are and all armor ends up doing is making already weaker hits even weaker, then big deal. Now, please understand that I am NOT trying to be a 'Negative Nancy'...I am approaching this with a healthy dose of skepticism and waiting until I see more specific information, especially in terms of builds. And I do not think I am the only one who is wanting to know that. |

Can't wait :)
Take care out there.
