0.9.2 schedule and my feelings on 0.9.1 balance
" We did a quick patch for that while we were gone - did it help?
" Well it depends. If there are some broken spells like lighning nova right now a quick patch would be nice to fix it. I'am quite sure that more than a couple lightning witches and templars were made to abuse the nova. |

" No more random disconnects - I think? - but still random crashes when changing the zone. If you have a party of 5, whenever you switch the zone, at least one is gone. Sometimes two, sometimes three. And thx and welcome back, Chris! :) novakatze < Upcoming Veteran Invite on 22/08/2011 - Closed Beta 0.9.1 Last edited by novakatze#7913 on Sep 2, 2011, 2:45:59 AM

" Although it would be very easy to just throw in a 25% penalty to that skill and quickly do a hotfix, there are a few reasons why we don't want to do this until 0.9.2: a) It's very confusing for people if skill balance changes are made without an actual version change. At the moment players can know that nothing *important* changes without them knowing about it. Hotfixes are mostly for stability issues. b) The correct solution is probably not the reactive numeric nerf, and requires a bit more work. c) It's honestly fine for some characters to be overpowered for an extra week in Beta. If it were released, we'd fix it a lot faster. In the meantime we're trying to be time-efficient to get the game out sooner, rather than spending time on extra hotfixes that have to be tested and supervised.
I dont think any clases need any nerf in any way.I am in ruthless now with my witch and contrary she ned also bost in dps and more skils for diversity.
I stop also playng the uther clases as they need serious dps bost and also new skils becouse is so hard to kil grops of mobs specialy with ml clases. Ranger is also a priority in terms of dps. So take your time and deliver a good patch instad of fixing minor things with mini patches. |

Call me crazy, but I don't believe you can do any meaningful balance work until ALL related elements of the game are in place.
As an example, if you change one skill to be balanced on its own, then later add another skill that modifies it or works with it somehow, then you will probably end up rebalancing it to be in line when added together. You don't cook the eggs, then the flour, then the sugar, then boil the water - you mix it all together BEFORE baking the cake. |

" I disagree. Early balance is essential. When there aren't a lot of stuff to balance, it's easier to do. Then later, when you add some new stuff, you have a solid base which serves as a reference making it possible to balance accurately at the first try. If you wait pre-release period to start balancing, this will be hell if not impossible, because it will need a huge amount of iterations (i.e. patches). Well my 2 cents on all of this is that the programmers know best what they can and cannot do for each major patch. While we would like everything to be fixed all at once it is not going to happen and we all should be patient and know they are doing their best to make as many fixes as they can for each patch. Complaining about it will not get it done any faster. As long as the problem has been reported then you should know they are working on it. If it has not been reported then it is up to you to report if for the better of all of us in the game. Dont add to their stress by asking for eta's or complaining about stuff they all ready know about just keep playing and reporting new fixes and have fun!!!!! GREAT JOB to all the programmers and LEADS on a fun game so far and I am looking forward to all new changes!!!
