" It really isnt. I have had a couple hours or LESS a day, sometimes none last week, since the league/event launched all, but the last 2 days to actually play. I have no issue generating or getting currency. Regardless of fubgun, empy, or whomever. On a league start with heavy strike, 1 handed with a shield. People will come up with whatever excuse it seems on the forums/reddit for their issues rather than admit or even attempt at approaching of understanding more to this game, and instead come up with lame excuses like the one listed above "its x fault this mode is so bad" Your post sort of hints at what people THINK is true about trade. "Oh yeah only strongboxes and t17s are worth, nothing else is..." But its not reality. Mash the clean

To me its "meh". Done lvl80 for set and got back to stndrd Kalguur.
I usually use some of those little bugs, rest is just in stash. But Idols instead of scarabs would be nice. |

" I mean.....this is just straight up playing the game wrong. You are missing out on basically the entire endgame if you aren't using scarabs lol. They are a critical piece of PoE. Starting anew....with PoE 2

" Pretty much the opposite is true. The market is only balanced around all day/every day players for like...the first week. After that, it becomes more and more balanced around everyone else and LESS around those upper tier trades. And this is actually BECAUSE of those alldayeveryday folks in the beginning, flooding the market with much-needed currency, uniques, and low-mid tier rares. If it were even remotely balanced around the players you describe, prices on nearly everything would simply continue to rise throughout the entire league, because those players would continue to generate more and more currency, thus devaluing the individual currency and requiring "more for less". Your biggest mistake is "most of the farming strats that are GOOD". You are describing the BEST OF THE BEST farming strats, for the most complete characters. Obviously, the more your character can do, probably the better the income will be. But these aren't the only GOOD strats. There are tons and tons and tons of GOOD farming strats for everyone, no matter what the state of the market is. Pretty much ANY league mechanic is "good" for generating currency on its own, if you know what and how to sell. There is pretty much something in all league mechanics, semi or fully juiced, that retains value more than enough to fund any player up to mid or even mid-high tier. Almost none of which requires a "perfect character" to clear at a reasonable or even fast speed. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Mar 3, 2025, 10:12:19 AM

" That is literally what happens, though. Chase unique goes up in value. The Divs, Veiled Orbs, and all the other high-tier crafting mats inflate in value. Never ever has a mirror started at 1000 divs and fallen to under 200 in a league. You all live in a delusional reality where you are arguing Walmart shoes become cheaper when people need more framing lumber for their houses. The math doesn't math. The div rate was nerfed due to the sanctum and full-screen blasters. Much less people doing 40 maps an hour and only targeting the mechanic and not clearing the map for XP. Eldritch Altars have been nerfed twice for the same reason. The game is 100% balanced around 18 hour-a-day players, and the constant base rate nerfs since Sentinel proves this over and over. No one cares triple res boots become less expensive when they need them with Chaos res, spell suppression, and move speed with the onslaught, which the value of only goes up over a league as more currency comes in and the chaos to div rate increases. |

" ^THIS! Not using scarabs is like playing white maps. German saying: Schönheit und Funktionalität in Sekundenschnelle zu ruinieren, ist dem wahren Dilettanten keine Herausforderung!

" To me they are mostly clutter. Probably a handful that are useful, and are worth more to trade than use. The idols are a better system because they aren't consumable. That's the issue I have with scarabs because it's like "well this map is crap, not going to waste currency on it". And by the time you get a ton of t16s , T17s, the league is probably boring. |

I dont have an issue generating currency, most of the time I'm playing ssf.
You guys are delusional if you dont realize people that play 18 hours a day get everything nerfed. If you would go to at least hctrade you would notice something. Items are actually valuable there. The economy, outside of just in general scarcity, isn't a shit show. Because you don't have people hiding fourth vow and stuff thats actually good on their filters and only picking up divines/mageblood type items. Farm watchers eyes for a weekend. like 100 uber elders. Put them in a quad tab. Price check them after 2 weeks in sctrade. They're almost all virtually worthless. Then price them in hctrade. This happens because not everyone can farm 100 uber elders without dying in hc. The majority of the brain rot 18 hour players couldnt hack it in hc because they're 6 portal gamers. outside of a few people at the very high skill range that will hoard high level uniques and control the markets. Sctrade gets everything nerfed, and its not your dad gamers. Divines/hr is all you can think of in this counter argument because that has been drilled into peoples heads as the only metric that matters. If you want to play the game and enjoy farming your own items it gets really annoying when the methods of farming said items gets gutted because of 18hr/day brain rot farmers. If anyone has forgotten recently 2 really good examples of this is the effect tft has had on poe. Veiled orb changes and harvest changes. If you have ever played the game in ssf you would be sad about the harvest changes. Veiled orb changes are even worse when it comes to crafting boots and phys weapon especially. (recombs were pretty cool though.) Just the ability for tft to exist caused these issues because people falling into tricks from scammers. This did not come from ssf players. Theyre happily in their dungeons farming stuff while every league they see nerfs come across the screen that effect ssf negatively especially. Most peoples problems if you just put them in a column are caused by trade existing. Last edited by Lonnie455Rich#2087 on Mar 3, 2025, 1:56:45 PM
