EXP LOSS WHEN DYING IS STUPID
pretty much what the title says really. I've never come across a more [Removed by Support] game mechanic than losing exp for dying - especially when the game isnt even complete and is riddled with game breaking bad mechanics, Not to mention the unbelievable poorly optimized and lag experience. whom ever thought of the idea of losing exp is fucking stupid and if you think yeah its a great thing to have than you are equally as retarded.

tbh, i used to be from the xp penalty camp.
reason being, you need the penalty to give players a reason to play properly and avoid going full glass cannon. also getting to 100 was an achievement. now? i've changed. poe has changed too. players can hit 100 in a day. it only becomes a barrier rather than anything else now. penalty is just a chore. away with xp penalty! begone! I don't mind a reasonable penalty, but 10% above level 90 is just insane. No, we don't need to punks who just META to say "Get Gud". It's more fun to make your own choices, Gud or Bad, and learn the best way to build. With all the instant deaths though (off screen nukes, ritual lack of space or just rat swarmed, after boss deaths from things that didn't even have a visual indicator), it absolutely should be lowered to 5%. Make it so ya feel it but it doesn't make ya want to quit.

it's got nothing to do with being "good or bad" at the game. when you're on higher tier maps, you need the stats. to get those stats, you need a lot of divines. unless you get a god tier drop, or are chronically online and farm 18 hours a day, it just isn't going to happen to you.
this game really isn't accessible for the casual player when you're at the end end game. |

I did 99-100 deathless when I turned on 'cautious, safe, tedious, slow' mode. Although, didn't really take much time but wasn't fun.
Immediately went and died a few times after hitting 100 to feel good and casual. |

I'm fine with xp penalty in PoE.
In PoE2 however I find it kinda redundant. We're already losing the map on death and the leveling curve is much steeper anyway, so people will drop out even without the penalty if they're not determined enough. |
