Getting so bored ... what would help

"
Nope. Has nothing to do with "gender selection" or whatever. It's for the 6 other classes that are missing atm and their "imaginary" spot at the gallow.
For example, the "Ranger" and "Huntress" share a spot/slot.

Interesting theory ... still thinking it's sex options since all male characters are on one side and all females are on the other. Would be strange if that was an accident. Go and look every female character has their "active" variant on one side and every male character has their "active" variant on the opposite side (right vs. left).

That seems more likely to be consistency for sex/gender options. Something players have wanted for a long time. Always wanted to play a male necromancer.

I'll take a male infernalist too!

I recently retired my 98 Stormweaver with 700 Div and nothing to buy. Started a SSF Stormweaver two days ago and I'm having an absolute blast. Level 55 and about to get Archmage and Blink and it's revived my interest in the game.

Check it out.

no way that could work for me.....
You are playing a no update, no balance, no content version of the game. I'm surprised it takes this long for you guys to get bored. I quit when they said no balance patch, no content patch til 0.2.0.

Anyhow in a week, MH wilds dropping, of course buy and play that till 0.2.0. then play both of them.
try HC or take a break

Regarding MTX that would also keep me busy and spending but afaik a load of POE1 MTX that are enabled are not visible in the store right?

I don't like the limited options in store right now. I know and I have seen there are some beautiful MTX for the portals for example, but since I don't have POE1 installed, I have no way of checking them out.

I can see why they would not spend too much time on the store in EA, though I am puzzled why make it a priority to enable POE1 MTX for POE1 players that EA players can't pick!

Honestly other than stash tabs only a tiny percentage of PoE1 mtx have been portsed to PoE2 so far, whats in the PoE2 store is pretty much all that is guaranteed to work.

Infinite Atlas is the main reason why progress feels meaningless and boring.

You're not wrong. I'm very casual, at least by streamer's standards, I have yet to complete the citadels and still struggle to sustain XV maps.

I'm already kinda lost on the atlas. It doesn't help that it resets the view everytime you exit to go get a Waystone from your chest.

They need to find a system where you have like "regions", so that you can get a sense of completion by doing all maps in one smaller region - and have like two levels of zoom. One top level view with regions, and one closer view with maps as currently.

I hope they have real plans for the endgame because I don't see the big picture atm. The atlas seems like overthinking a problem.

The detailed landscape gives me a little sense of adventure, except there is no adventure builtin the system. Instead of the ATLAS tree I'd love to see something like the ROGUE LEGACY progression, give me skills that let me travel by boat, see creatures I couldnt see before, etc.

Honestly good suggestions for the atlas.
Not fond of the atlas passive tree suggestion but it does feel a little limp right now.

I just played Morrowind instead. Been pretty fun. I've got over a million septims in it now. Literally balling.

I'm too tired to pick another game.

I remember way back hitting the same problem in D2. I switched to Hardcore. And then I took my favorite melee Amazon build to level 94.

So when all was done, there was the challenge of reaching high level.

It became somewhat soothing. There is a genuine sense of satisfaction when you play something so much that you study every nook and cranny.

And **** me, I still need a perfect jeweller to six link my Earthshatter.

I guess I can thank the RNG gods then, for keeping me "baited" so to speak.

Too much of this game comes down to RNG. If I was "lucky" and had just found this jeweler today, I would have less to look forward to.

RNG decides how quickly I am going to get bored playing my character. Some guy finds a 200% Phys Damage hammer and has no more upgrade to look forward to, while another guy spends another month or two grinding - and actually enjoying himself.

Something tells me this RNG based design could use some refreshing.

I agree, in PoE1 (and I am not suggesting we get anything as powerful as the one there) e had a crafting bench to allow us to fix average gear into good gear, or add resistance to a n item that was good but would leave us uncapped on one etc etc.. I feel this PoE needs something not as powerful bit a lesser version to fill in some rng disparity and make something useful out of something that isn’t.

Like you done for now and looking forward to 0.2.0
However I’m going to play the madness that will be the Legacy of Phrecia event in PoE1 and suggest any other bored PoE2 player look up a build guide and do the same even if you’ve never played PoE1 before (PoE2 has been a great primer for such players imo).

I'm getting very close to just taking a break and that's ok because I know more features are coming.

I decided to write this post because I logged in and couldn't bring myself to do anything on any of my characters. I'm just bored. I don't want to do another trial, I don't want to clear out Sekhema's again, I don't want to run another map to still not be able to find a damn Stone Citadel.

I don't feel like leveling another toon ... I have enough.

I'm bored.

So here's my prioritized list of things that I suspect are already features but would get me to play more (and eventually get me to spend more money because I will for the right thing).

1. Sex Variant - In select your class variant it looks like you are prepping for two variants male and female for each class. I think that's what the coming soon means. Give me this and I'll drop some coin. Especially on a male version of the witch. Oh boy I would level that and drop coin on it to put new skins on.
2. More Classes - Obviously this would give more to play. Right now things are thin that I enjoy so more variety would be good.
3. More MTX - I have 17 armor sets ... only 1 is currently enabled in POE 2. I hate how my characters look but the skins I want I already own but can't use. I would drop more coin but only for variants I didn't buy for in POE 1. Gimme my old skins and I would enjoy looking at my toons more. You have a great system on enticing me with simple mtx's
4. More Gems/Weapon Types - This is so anemic right now. I want lightning tendrils, I want spears, I want daggers, I want swords, I want more.
5. Better Drops - I have friggen ran Trial of Chaos so many times. I have to buy more level 80 tokens in large batches but every time I kill that f'ing trial master ... I get the same stupid helm drop. I'm so tired of that thing. Better loot tables with more variety would help.
6. Higher Maps - T16 maps are just too rare. I would love to run juiced T16's exclusively but I can't due to how rare they are. Gimme more.
6. Make the towers easier to find. I'm tired of looking for Stone Citadel. Make these appear closer to the center please.

Sorry I'm bored. I can't even play anymore. This is a great game and I do so want more and I want to spend money but ...

Thanks <3

yo have you tried ssf? I started SSF HC and its really fun. i think endgame is what was causing me to dislike the game. when running through campaign on hc tho, its exciting and fun.
