Yeah you need to take a break, you obviously need it.

" 1) Why? 2,3 and 4 are coming we just have to be patient 5) drops are ok imo but some basic crafting (not currency rng or expensive omen crafts) would help out a lot here 6) you mean citadels and they are a lot better now with the beacons coming out of them, as for towers I think they are also fine but due to mob density shouldn’t cost a waystone (but that’s just my opinion) I have taken a break for now (as suggested above) and will be playing Legacy of Phrecia in PoE1 for a week or maybe 2. After that fingers crossed 0.2.0 will be out and if not I’ll play something else until it is. Not sure if you are a new player or have played PoE1 before, but this event tomorrow will be really fun and if you are a new player your time in PoE2 will have prepared you enough to jump into PoE1 (for free with any stash tabs you bought in PoE2) with very little friction (though maybe Google a guide for a starter, even with 7.5 years in PoE1 I have ;) ) (ALL typos lack of caps, punctuation and general errors are copyright Timbo Industries - Laziness Division) Last edited by Timbo Zero#8289 on Feb 19, 2025, 2:14:52 PM

I recently retired my 98 Stormweaver with 700 Div and nothing to buy. Started a SSF Stormweaver two days ago and I'm having an absolute blast. Level 55 and about to get Archmage and Blink and it's revived my interest in the game.
Check it out. |

" Nope. Has nothing to do with "gender selection" or whatever. It's for the 6 other classes that are missing atm and their "imaginary" spot at the gallow. For example, the "Ranger" and "Huntress" share a spot/slot. And believe me... I would love the ability to change at least the gender, I am asking for that feature for maaany years now. " Sadly, we don't know when they will add more, but we know how many GGG is aiming for with the full release. We are missing right now 6 classes (would be a total of 12) and 24 Ascendancies (would be a total of 36 on release). " They are working on it atm. Every single skin from PoE1 will be in PoE2 and every skin you can buy in PoE1 will be buyable in PoE2, but that takes some time because of the amount of skins they need to bring into PoE2 and because they character rigs are different between both games, so they make the skins basically new. " Same with this point. We only have half the weapon types, half the gems, half the uniques etc. Waiting for it too. |

" Yep I play a Warbringer Earthshatter + Warcries SSF. Since it's SSF it's gonna be a while and some luck to minmax every slot. I still have a ~450 mg mace and doing well on tier XV maps so still have things to look forward. Also levelling past 90 on SSF is its own challenge. It's east to do XV maps, but takes more care to do it without dying repeatedly. There's loads of popular builds I haven't tried like Sparks and Monk and I have no interest in playing them whatsoever. I can't wait to play Huntress hoping this will by me D2 melee Amazon addiction. |

Infinite Atlas is the main reason why progress feels meaningless and boring.

Regarding MTX that would also keep me busy and spending but afaik a load of POE1 MTX that are enabled are not visible in the store right?
I don't like the limited options in store right now. I know and I have seen there are some beautiful MTX for the portals for example, but since I don't have POE1 installed, I have no way of checking them out. I can see why they would not spend too much time on the store in EA, though I am puzzled why make it a priority to enable POE1 MTX for POE1 players that EA players can't pick! |

" You're not wrong. I'm very casual, at least by streamer's standards, I have yet to complete the citadels and still struggle to sustain XV maps. I'm already kinda lost on the atlas. It doesn't help that it resets the view everytime you exit to go get a Waystone from your chest. They need to find a system where you have like "regions", so that you can get a sense of completion by doing all maps in one smaller region - and have like two levels of zoom. One top level view with regions, and one closer view with maps as currently. I hope they have real plans for the endgame because I don't see the big picture atm. The atlas seems like overthinking a problem. The detailed landscape gives me a little sense of adventure, except there is no adventure builtin the system. Instead of the ATLAS tree I'd love to see something like the ROGUE LEGACY progression, give me skills that let me travel by boat, see creatures I couldnt see before, etc. |

" I'm too tired to pick another game. I remember way back hitting the same problem in D2. I switched to Hardcore. And then I took my favorite melee Amazon build to level 94. So when all was done, there was the challenge of reaching high level. It became somewhat soothing. There is a genuine sense of satisfaction when you play something so much that you study every nook and cranny. And **** me, I still need a perfect jeweller to six link my Earthshatter. I guess I can thank the RNG gods then, for keeping me "baited" so to speak. Too much of this game comes down to RNG. If I was "lucky" and had just found this jeweler today, I would have less to look forward to. RNG decides how quickly I am going to get bored playing my character. Some guy finds a 200% Phys Damage hammer and has no more upgrade to look forward to, while another guy spends another month or two grinding - and actually enjoying himself. Something tells me this RNG based design could use some refreshing. |
