T15 Drop Rate and Engame Difficulty

Bottom line GGG needs to make the endgame less punishing to the thousands of people who gave POE2 a shot. Maybe do a weighted sum limit on mob modifiers.

I love this game. I loved POE1. I hate where this is going.

I've played 1000s of hours between the two. I'm not trying to be as strong as the dedicated player base. I know there are a lot of folks out there that don't mind going slower to experience the game with the build they enjoy rather than the build that works. I have zero interest in copy pasting what someone else is doing.

In POE2 I've taken 4 characters to level 85+ and they'll be breezing through rare T15 maps with +1-2 levels then just get one shot multiple maps in a row on what seemed like safe modifiers. It's an unpleasant way to watch your stock of T15 maps dwindle.

I don't know what GGG has to do, but this feels bad man. Content should be slower for less dedicated players, not inaccessible.

so you refuse to slow down even when you start dying?
I absolutely slow down when I anticipate danger. And my zooming isn't even that fast. I'd appreciate any thoughts you have on my original post too.

What do you think of how the current balancing affects new player retention? How do you feel about
the need to optimize and it's relationship to build freedom?
my thoughts? anticipate all the time, you still gonna die but way less, and def not in a row
I don't really understand what you're complaining about. You said yourself sometimes you are flying through t15 maps. So are you just complaining because sometimes you die? Are you asking that GGG balances the game so that basically everyone effectively can not die on t15 maps?

Show your stats and character sheet. From my experience endgame is way too easy, I rarely die, if ever. I run a Invoker monk with power charge-lightning-cold oriented skills.

Good advice. I'll reflect on that as I play and see if I can modify my play style to be more anticipatory. Do you have any thoughts on my direct questions.

"What do you think of how the current balancing affects new player retention?"

And

"How do you feel about the need to optimize and it's relationship to build freedom?"

That's a well thought out critique. Upon re-reading my post I can see how I made it sound like everything should be ultra easy. While a surprising amount of people would love that. I would not.

I want some risk. The issue that I'm concerned will lose a lot of players is that the systems in place to add risk are stopping them from progressing. A lot of players will bounce back from a tough experience, but it's less likely if that experience sets them back multiple hours. It ends up feeling like you're spinning your wheels.

Not everyone should be able to reach 100 or kill the hardest bosses, but nearly everyone should be able to sustain T15 maps.

Hey I appreciate your willingness to give my character sheet a once over. If you'd like to communicate about my build, feel free to PM me. That Invoker sounds fun. I played a few charge based characters in POE1.
