I am running the game with a much older 1070 ti on 1440p in medium settings and I have zero issues. If you really can't run the game with a 3090ti then the problem is in your rig, not the game.

I have to say then you are a wizard, please come over and fix my computer also.
I dont mean to be rude, but I find this veeeeeeeery hard to believe XD

FWIW I've found you really shouldn't listen to much of any responses in gamer forums much like global chat in the game. lol - It's usually someone attempting to troll you so they can feel better about themselves in some weird way.

I wouldn't have come here and posted if it weren't an issue. Nor would others. i9-12900, 64GB ram, 3090Ti, 32GB ram. No intensive apps running in the background. You tell me.

Im going to try switching to the game ready nvidia drivers but past experience has proven poor.

nvidia's app is knwon to reduce your FPS by quiet abit, and their newer update seems to have some troubles, beside that it could very well be a win10 update

i do not know the answer, i can only come up with what might be the cause

how are your temps ? does your gpu or cpu reach 100% usage, what about the metrics ingame, i think its f1 and you get shown some metrics, how do they look when your fps drops?

we might be able to help and GGG need those information too if they are gonna find out what the problems are, your setup SHOULD not have any problems, so something is wrong, your GPU is powerful and i assume your cpu is in a similar league, so your physical components should really not be the problem

but more information is needed to troubleshoot

check temp, usage, spikes, where and when

you can use Hwmonitor from CPUID and monitor those things, and you can check simple things as shader, ping and vram ingame with f1 (i think its f1)

just adding my setup
4070 ti oc ( pretty sure your GPU is more powerful than mine)
14900k
Corsair Vengeance ddr5 6000hz
Nvme 2gb drive

i have no issues, there where some problems with frame gen at some point for me, but i turned it off and didnt see the problem again

I don't use the "optimal settings" suggested by nvidia. They crank everything up to max and make things unplayable. I just thought the "game ready" driver might improve things. Well, it didn't. There are random times too where the game shoots up the GPU usage to 100%. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I think whatever it is is triggered by "zoning". Like this, just standing here doing nothing...

try with vsync on, dlss off and image quality down from ultra performance down to high quality, and enter full window and not windowed mode
other than that i donno what else you can do

your ping is abit on the high end, and your GPU cant keep up with your CPU, but that is a game optimization issue in this case.

but doing what i suggested might help

locking your FPS to a certain point will make the game feel better, what is problematic with fps drops and spikes are the sudden difference in frame rate, not the frame rate it self, so if you can run the game locked on 144 you will experience less dramatic fluctuations and the game will feel a lot better

But yeah the game needs optimization
