Forums... oh my.
Why do I keep coming back, hoping for some intersting things to read, productive discussions and feedback?
All that find are reproaches, entitled "but I want" posts.. or even better "WE want" from single persons etc etc.

Yeah, of course there's a lot to do. (Yeah, I am a "it's EA" guy. ^^).. but comne on, I can't be the only one who actually has fun playing the game, and is excited for the things and improvements to come.

I'll probably tell you something amazing for you: "I want" and "we want" are a natural expression of the will of a person who is a paid beta tester for his money.

Thats a Karen approach.

You paid for EA access. You not only got EA access but also got coins in worth of your pay + extra stuff.

EA access means: work in progress and you can help with constructive criticism to navigate the development.

EA does not mean: I am an entitled Karen and I want everything my way cuase I paid for it.

So did others, so did I. I have fun playing it. The only reason I am not playing right now, is cause I want a STR/INT char like the Druid and/or a different melee. Not a fan of the maces skills.

My criticism is, that they are wasting ressources on making the loud minority happy with poe1 instead of rushing 0.2.0. Cathering to loud minority never went well the past few years.

Endgame is not a problem cause I have ears. They already said it was a last moment decision as the wanted act 1-6 originally for EA and switched last minute to endgame (which means the acts are done) and is not representative of the real endgame.

But the forum are no better than classic WoW or old LoL forums atm.

Alot of senseless copy pastas (3.26 when, where is chris and so on) where the answer is a easy google away but people are just jumping bandwagons without turning their brains on.

"Because XY Streamer said so, it must be right as they are perfect gods and I dont have a own personality and thinking process" <--- this is the center of 60% of forum posts right now

Actually, I wasn't answering you. But since you got into the conversation: ea is not a release game. Coins in a non-final (release, completed) game don't mean anything, it's just a nice bonus. And this does not change the fact that I am a beta tester at my own expense. I don't understand why you're implicating noname bloggers that I don't even know about..
Why crafting isn't there with the biggest problems? Allow us to use Greater Essences on Rare items. Make Purple Omens more common to use them even with low tier end game items. Throw away leech bonuses from Essence of Torment.

Add something to reroll values on Prefix only and Suffix only modifiers. Something to target highest lvl modifier (if that's the one you're not needing). Also orb of annulment should convert items to magic rarity (if they end up with 2 modifiers).

I don't want to have to constantly use laptop next to my PS5 to refresh 20+ tabs with search filters to find much needed items. I want to only PLAY maps and CRAFT items by myself.

Also - search bar on trade side should allow us to find modifiers regardless of its placement (enchant, implict or regular prefix/suffix). Is't a pain in the ass to have to type every combination of this mods in separate tabs. I have 10 tabs with just one ring with the same mods.

We did attempt to address some of the more overpowered player skills, but backed off somewhat in order to prevent breaking peoples characters. We initially thought that there would be more tolerance for this kind of thing during Early Access, but we were incorrect! We will save changes like this for larger balance updates.

HAHAHAHAHA WHAT???????

THIS IS THE POINT OF EARLY ACCESS

PEOPLE GOT ANGRY BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T GIVE THEM FREE RESPECS AFTER NERFING THEIR BUILD

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TOLERANCE

THIS IS MERELY A PITIFUL EXCUSE FOR YOUR LAZINESS

> do nothing
> blame the players

fucking insane

Thats the function of a forum... everyone can but in... else it would be a private message.

Did you ever buy EA on steam? Thats what EA is. I have right now 6 EA titles on steam and they get updates like every 3 months. Some of are since 2019 in EA.

EA is to test. You voluntary agreed to it. No one forced you to spend money to be a tester. Except yourself. You knew what you were paying for and still did. If you want to be mad about it, look in the mirror. That person is the only person to be mad at to buy EA access. It was YOUR decision.

Here EAS for you explained on Steam:
Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development.

Here on PoE2 EA:
Why Early Access?
“Path of Exile 2 is an Action RPG which is all about making powerful characters and getting epic loot. Finding the right balance for character builds, items and economy is crucial for this genre, and it cannot be achieved without showing the game in its current state to the community. We're launching Path of Exile 2 in Early Access to ensure the game delivers the best possible experience at release.”

If you skipped reading thiose and still spend money, its on you.

Edit:I see you edited more into your post but wasnt there when I answered.
If the forums were a mediaval court, it would be filled with jesters and doomsayers

I love the game. Keep going. I am waiting for 0.2.0!!

I think you have done great so far! We know this was an early access launch with lots to come. I really hope we see some new classes abilities and skills in 0.2.0, that will for sure get me coming back, also some larger changes to warrior will have me trying that class again. Warrior really did not fulfill the warrior fantasy as it just felt so weak and slow.

I think there has to be a big shift in power, more dps is just always better than defence and there is not a single thought required while mapping even juiced T15 maps. So really happy to see you are working on better lategame progression.

My two most anticipated classes are Gladiator and Templar, so would love to see that. I already worry a bit looking at the Druid gameplay thats been shown. It seems to fall in the same trap as warrior, with slow abilities requiring setup with the vulcano etc, which would be cool if there wasnt 100 different other classes which just blast through in a fraction of the time. It seems there classes are just designed for a different game than what Gemling stat stacker, blink sorc and herald munk is.

Really wish to see 0.2.0 sooner than later! Hopefully before end of February.

I wouldn't be mad if they deleted my character tomorrow if it's because of massive changes. Just make your game!

Thanks for the "wrap-up" i will share some of my thoughts below.

Towers - I think the increased number of layouts for tower didnt help alot. Since towers will not contain endgame content like breach/ritual/expedition its still gonna be an area where you dont wanna spend a well rolled map.
In my opinion we need something intresting for towers or convert them into instant acessible slots for tablets without us having to run through them.

Maps - For maps in general i feel the layout and design is the biggest issue. The content most players enjoy scales very well with open areas, wich majority of PoE 2 maps lack. Right now it feels like majority of maps are created to enter some kind of art competition rather than being designed to be fun.
We either need a way to more frequently spawn the maps we enjoy automaticly or a currency item to reroll atlas nodes to change the bad areas into better ones.

Uniques - PoE2 got way too little build defining uniques and the few that does look cool at a first glance usually come with such a big negative effect/drawback that is just easily outpreformed by a powerfull rare item.

Rare items - I like the idea that rare items are good, however i feel like the road to achieve a really good one is too heavily based on rng. This brings me to ideas for crafting wich i belive is to undeterministic. The powerfull Omens that could provide ways for deterministic crafting gets super expensive due to mirror services.
This might be an offensive opinion, but i think the game would be better if mirrors were removed entirely. Omens could then become a curency sink sold by npcs, Lower tier Omens for exalts and higher tier for divines. This could also counter the mad inflation we currently see and maybe reduce the power of the top communities that do control a big part of todays mirror market.

Charms - I'm not impressed at all with the current charm system, if kept i think charmslots should be quest rewards and the extra slots from belt/passive just removed.

Game Balance - I see no rush here to instantly fix outliers, but i do encourage it. This is Early Access after all, we should expect things to change on a regular basis.
Cost for respecing havent been an issue for me so far, but i think it should just be free untill full release is here.

Keep up the progress i'm sure that this game will turn out really well even if it has a long way to go still! :)
If you want to change something, just do it. This is what that damn EA is for.
Nerf all those 1s builds, but do it right. Dont make skills useless, look into synergies. You wanted PoE2 to be slower (which is much better idea than what you got with poe1 imo) and its still basically PoE1 in endgame. You already have PoE1...

Each time you change anything with skills, offer free respec. It will save players' time. Maybe, for duration of EA allow for ascendancy change too.

Personaly I dont use trading at all, but forcing players to use website to do it is a joke. Make auction house already and stop goofin around.

Keep one try per map, death effects and exp loss, they are fine if you pay attention to what you are doing. Not having anything to lose makes gameplay dull (unpopular opinion, i know)

Add sort button to stash and inventory

More atlas camera zoom out, after some time it turns into map scrolling simulator if you wanna change direction. I'd take a bit more zoom out on char too

Do something about hp, maybe scale it better with lvl on melee classes if you dont wanna add hp passives

Fix performance

Roll out some new content before I die of old age
"
We did a full rebalance of all the content that can spawn in maps. Mostly more of everything.

Oh no... no more things on screen...
