0.1.1c is the last nerf in the coffin of Trigger Skills
Yeah any argument about frost walls gaining energy is irrelevant. It's a fantasy game where spark can proc off cast on dodge. Anything goes. Every meta build can be knit picked the same way to say "should that be intended?" I respect others opinions but that's just not a good argument here. The truth is other builds were abusing frost walls with things like trampletoe and pure ice sorceress builds paid the price. Now there is no relevant pure ice build that doesnt cost several mirrors and include other elements like spark.
Believe it or not some people want to stay in their lane for the season and experiment with new builds at the beginning of next season. That's where I'm at. Killing builds mid season for mechanics that aren't broken (within pure ice builds that is) after they said that no major nerfs were coming prior to the first season is why we are upset. Yall don't really seem to get that. If they wanted to make this change it should've waited. I'd be okay with that. |

" Well, considering it didn't get nerfed, I'd say neither. It wasn't functioning as intended. It's not that the numbers were simply off and needed adjusted (buffed or nerfed). It was literally proc'ing off of things that weren't mobs (bugged). |

Honestly I don't see the hype around Spark. I run lightning warp and Spark users don't even come close to my damage, efficiency or speed.
Maybe it's a good beginner build but it certainly doesn't compete in end game. Sorry to see ice users getting hit with bug fixes that hurt their build. Hopefully next content patch they and fire get some love |

" During car racing you see that one of the cars is way too fast. They have different engine compared to the rest of cars. You ban that team from using this specific engine, so they switch it. Car starts racing sligthly slower than most other cars. Then you notice that it wasn't a problem with enginge, the problem was with them using wrong fuel mixture that gave it advantage, so you ban that mixture as it was clearly illegal. Now the car runs much slower than rest of the cars. How about reverting engine ban, instead of bricking entire team twice? Or we gonna get bored to death with everyone using same engine called lightning? Numbers were off and are off, difference is the symbol in front of those numbers. " That's not how this is though. Using cars for example, some of the cars are faster than others because of better air fuel mixtures, sure. That will be fixed through the balance patch. What needs fixed immediately are the cars that are broken and somehow running on just air and need no gas or even electricity. It's difficult to balance things when stuff isn't working as intended. You gotta fix the broken stuff first though. |

" That's exactly how it is. You brute forced numbers change, that were wrong from the start because of a bug. Now you found the bug, and you left the numbers as they were after changing them. What is intended and expectable is to nerf/change things that are gamebreaking or straight up too OP, which could be seen as case of first CoC nerf. After that, it was a viable off-meta option, neither game-breaking, nor OP. Bricking it twice without compensation in numbers is just an example of being lazy or not having basic knowledge, and there's no ball licking GGG that could change this fact. Meanwhile my Atlas still has holes, people are still experiencing crashes, optimalization is bad, Temporalis reverts this game to PoE1 speed and some other stuff that is in way more need of fixing than god forsaken off-meta builds. |

In case folks didn't see the Q&A, they're not nerfing things because they are too strong right now, or even if they don't work as intended. They nerf things right now when they can cause actual server performance issues and other problems with the way the game itself actually functions. Hitting inanimate objects was likely causing severe problems due to, as a theoretical example, someone maybe planting a bunch of inanimate objects in the ground (like from lightning rod) and having a huge number of interactions generating effects (say maybe from spark or ball lightning), resulting in massive computational load when interacting with trigger skills going nuts off of those interactions.
Now, does that suck for monks? Sure! But it wasn't a nerf to monk usage of trigger skills, it wasn't even a nerf. It was a fix to the way a mechanic is interacting, done "mid cycle" because it caused actual problems with game and server performance and thus *had* to be fixed. It's early access. There's a lot to be done. But this was not a nerf to trigger skills, it was a necessary fix to something which was causing problems in the operation of the game. That's what they're doing right now when it comes to changes like this, and those are the *only* ones that are getting fixed or "nerfed", because they have to be in order for the game to be playable. |

From a players perspective it is a nerf. Period. Lol justify it as you will. It killed ice sorceress builds. RIP.
