Path of Exile 2 - Patch 0.1.1c Preview
Honestly, reading through every announcement updates since the launch of poe2, shows how privileged people are these days, with the amount of moaning people do on a free to play game. Nobody forced you to purchase the EA, so when there's problems, you should expect it. I get people love poe2 and want to see it succeed as there is so much potnetial in this game, and honestly I haven't been this hooked on a game since my childhood but people need to stop replying with "it only took you 2 months" or "okay, so when are we getting this and that". be thankful, play the game and enjoy your damn life. I feel with the popularity poe2 has brought, unfortunately it also has brought a lot of toxic players to the community.
Thanks for the great game GGG, I'm sure you're aware of the certain issues in EA has of course it's due to the game being in EA, you seem to know this as you have been fixing ALOT of the issues the player base has had, not many companies do that, especially on a free to play game, so my hats off to you all. POE2 certainly has 3 great acts, amazing combat system. Adding the wasd movement and roll dodge has made the game more immersive and opens up more opportunities to play certain classes. Thank you. For me that are such tiny fixes, hopefully another team is working on those bits, as new classes and late game mechanics should be the focus

I knew that would happen. Waiting almost one month for AN ANNOUNCEMENT of something that is coming one week later after that announcement. And the "something" itself is super tiny and extremely disappointing for the time it took to be released.
I just want you guys to know that the time you guys are taking between patches and their trivial amount of changes will make people abandon the game like I just did, not because of hate or any pesky reason, but because the game needs A LOT of fixing and after 1 month this is what you give to us. I don't know, I just lost interest, motivation. I still have faith in the game, although at this rate I think it will take way more than 6 months (maybe more than 1 year) to be ready for a full release. I like it a lot and that's the reason I come to this forum everyday to see what is changing, what is getting improved, because I think PoE2 has a lot of potential. But in the meantime I'm playing other games... Between casino crafting, the random skills being cast on us from off-screen, breach performance issues, 2,454 skills unreleased, casino pinnacle bosses, iron citadel not getting completed (and many many other small bugs), extremely non-innovative and mind-numbing map juicing process, unbalanced quantity of narrow maps in comparison to open area maps, unbalanced distribution of maps (5 seepages/auguries/crypts to 1 steppe), archaic tendonitis-inducing breach looting, etc. The game needs A LOT of polishing, and the game director knows it, he admitted it publicly, I just can't stand anymore coming to this forum everyday to see a a 4-5 lines of text patch every 3-4 weeks and keep playing while hoping for changes. I'll keep the pace I'm following for now, coming here once when I wake up and once more before I go to bed, I just hope and wish you guys take a different approach soon. " If you ask me, the above is too optimistic. POE2 is in an alpha state at best and won't be ready for release until 2027. I've been playing POE since 2011. And playing POE2, there are too many broken/missing/unfinished mechanics and/or QOL features that leave you with a feeling of "WTF is this". "This" plays like 2011 POE. "This" was fixed. "This" was added in 2012, etc. Why is "This" broken/missing/unfinished in POE2? "This" has been fixed/added/fleshed-out and in the game for over a decade. WTF? |

While POE 1 hasn't been on my radar for years and after giving shtick to the POE 1 fanbois for crying about taking their dev team away for POE 2, I feel a bit bad now.
Seems rather meh after annexing the entire POE team to knuckle down on POE 2. To be honest I didn't know what to expect, I expected more than enemy damage number fiddling and some minor map changes. I am happy, (kind of) that the minion collision in doorways has been reduced by allowing them to wiggle though after XXX time. Instead of that just increase the width of tunnels, doorways and the size of rooms in maps making them less like giant rat mazes with hundreds of annoying 2 inch gaps, bottlenecks and locked doors that lead to literally 1 monster. GGG added collision in POE 2 and kept POE 1 map generators that have bottlenecks every 4 inches. Augury maps being a prime candidate of OMFG this map sucks. E.g. I cannot move, attack or even die because my spells glitch into the walls while being pushed into a wall by Mr big monster who cannot hurt me as his projectiles are stuck in the same wall mine are. Ooof. If we cannot farm specific maps at least make all the maps semi-open with bigger rooms and double doorways. The maps that are 3 square miles of winding corridors make most of the map mechanics a total waste. Delirium, breach and ritual require open spaces to work. The ritual area needs to be clear of walls and obstructions, delirium needs a linear path so you can beat the decay and breach need at least a semi open area to chase the decay also. Most of the maps are procedurally generated rat mazes from POE 1 but way bigger, people only ever did maze maps in POE 1 to farm cards anyway. The rat maze generators clearly don't work in POE 2 as the new mechanics don't allow it. Doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results springs to mind. |

Controllers have too many bugs when playing minions: weapon swap triggering respawn timer (no minions were dead before weapon swap) and Pain Offering failling to cast when monsters are around are the main ones and should be fixed!!!! Please fix controller bugs!! It is really stressful to play on controller due to these...

- Minimap Icons for League mechanics now remain visible regardless of how far away you travel from them, making it easier to return to them later.

Can we get aoe damage perks to scale up resonating shield? It only works with aoe range boosting not damage. |
