I say it is. You have a valid reasoning regarding converting time into power, but with your own numbers it's also pretty obvious that it's impossible to get time spent on trading and time spent killing monsters on equal footing.

I do agree here. The game should Value your time. And people who enjoy trading are not a lot so why make trading an arduous Process. You save some time with an async System does not have to be an AH it can still be the website, but u should be able to instantly buy something. The Game knows where the item is already.
That does require a bit more processing power because every time someone buys an item it has to be instantly removed from the site. That might be a challenge if u still use the website.

Your an your buddies RL trading must really be going extremely well if you not just find the spare-time to play a time consuming ARPG as well as read posts and post in a forum about aformentioned game.

Remember: Joining a tradegroup on Whatsapp and paying some rando who doesn't know what he's talking about, doesn't make you a trader.

Traders have no time for such shenanigans as gaming nor do they care for it.

And trading for fun on your phone also doesn't make you a trader.

You're proving my point. Stocks are not our main source of income, it's the long game for retirement. I'm in software, as a lead for main source. 20~ years for the former, 12~ years for the latter.

PoE's community reminds me of the age where I'd read what I just wrote from others, and project my own insecurity (because I was 13, thinking only kids played games, and ignorant that a 30+ year old successful person could be behind the screen.)

I thought we all grew up and became successful though? So most of you would understand successful adults can play the game? Had to edit this because the person below didn't get it.

Two of us are jacked btw, I know this will trigger people so I'm mentioning it. I also race motorcycles. So I'm in the crowd of "way to cool for this game", in your opinion.

So put a fucking AH, instant buy, or something that doesn't rely people to no life because you will lose money from this; from people like me who can blow $1000+ on your cash shop impulsively.

Also, remove the exp loss (I know there are threads on this.) Respect my time, or don't get my money. I know Tencent owns GGG. China likes money, and I am literally giving you free advice on how to make more money. You will not lose players from this either.

But not many people trade because it's annoying. Trading in poe works(ish, very ish) because a lot of it is old hands experimenting or trying to break stuff. And obviously speeding up their campaign runs, filling in gaps along the way etc. The economy evolves with that; less trade of low level items etc.

Soon as you have an AH trading becomes universal and the easiest way of gearing. By a long way. The game has to be rebalanced around good gear being readily available. That balance is going to be really hard to get right. Course you could make it an end-game unlockable, then you have to maintain balance through campaign at least.

Its already the case that trading is the best way to gear. And its the easiest way of gearing. That would not change in the slightest.
No Campaign Trading is not a thing at least for the first time. Cause everything thats decent for leveling in campaign is to expensive. I sold wands that were lv 20-30 for a couple divine. No new player can afford that. Leveling gear is quiet expensive.

Last Epoch approached it like that. In order to buy items of a certain rarity equivalent you needed to level up the faction to a certain level. People whined about it, but I think there's merit to that.

The whole fiasco of skipping content can be circumvented by restricting purchases to items of a "power level" that you could've seen as a drop already.

TRADE was originally meant to exchange a sword for a wand etc. Not to BUY an ilvl82 500 dps weapon at lvl70.

By design that would not hurt anyone's ability to gear up a twink with bomb gear.
