" Gets bonus how exactly? Hes a shareholder? Someone who aquired GGG recently? Just a very influential guy in the company? A tencet headfigure? None of these people would benefit from GGG falling, they would lose money because the shares they have are now worthless. Even if hes someone who have a large portion of GGG stocks and plans to resell before the company crashes, he would at best break even Cash bonuses? What kind of unholy bonus they are pocketing for it to be worth breaking the company where he works? Who is paying that bonus? Why the fu someone would fork money just to make the priority of the company shift??? Must be a diehard fanboy of a game thay is not even out because that would be a spetacularly dumb risk to take. Does poe really have haters that are willing to pay to have the game replaced? Because replacing the game is the only reason for the idea someone is paying the staff to shift to poe2 makes sense. Form a financial point of view it plain dont make sense no matter how greedy or short sighted the individual is People are talking about "short ferm money" what is this "money" exactly? Catch and kill is indeed a thing, but at this point GGG is too old and the value of the company is far too stable for it to be a viable target. Even if you do expect a boom in value from poe2, the value a gaming company gets on a title is not big enough to justify the risk, and most definetly not from a game that is not even truly out and is just launch of early access |

Look at em go! Trying so hard to defend a company development philosophy that has already been dead for years. The POE community loves to hate activision-blizzard and what they became since 2008. How do you feel about your beloved company turning into some Chinese version of that or worse? Delusional take: POE1 will continue to get regular leagues eventually, POE2 will get its issues fixed and also become a good game. Realistic take: POE1 is dead as you know it, POE2 is also "dead" as far as MTX and supporter pack development trumping everything else to string along a short term cash cow as long as possible.
