Watching that video almost made me feel like Jonathan spat in my face.
They (GGG) have been in controversies before; Delve seed, streamer queue, X-Box release/money allocation, 3.15, mobile game (what ever happened to that?), Tencent acquisition and more. But these news are just on a whole other level. I've never been this disappointed about something gaming related in my life. But after 5 years of Jonathan badmouthing PoE 1 in every PoE 2 interview, I sort of was expecting it. Thanks for 13 fantastic years, GGG. All good things must come to an end, right? I may or may not be back for 3.26. I have to swallow this one for a while. In the meantime, there's nothing for me here. I envy all of you that enjoy PoE 2; I wish I did, but it sadly doesn't hold up to its predecessor. See you! I think everyone should exhale and do their own thing, we were abandoned, yes it's sad, I will sometimes look at the project, but not to play and especially to support, for such an attitude do not want to be honest, it used to be a feeling that you invest in your favorite game, but poe 2 I did not like, and my favorite game just abandoned.

No offence, all Im hearing is crying that you spent thousands of hours and thousands of dollars in the game.
What did you expect? The game to last forever? For POE1 to never change or get better? Pretty dystopian if you ask me Getting mad at a game company for your own poor money management and a decision THAT YOU MADE to sink money into a game KNOWING one day it could just end, thats on you bud LOL. Even me, whos ''not the real POE playerbase'' understands that ARPG's dont last forever and things are required to change in order for them to evolve and stay relevant. What your suggesting would actually kill POE1 faster and make the game lose more players, as the content would only cater to people who have 10k hours and bring no NEW PLAYERS OR NEW MONEY into the game. It would just slowly die out as the super nerds lose interest meanwhile no new players are coming in. That would be so much better than what they are trying to currently do with POE2.... NOT What did you really think they would just keep doing leagues for the next 20 years and never change the game? GGG isnt DE and this isnt Warframe bud, GGG has a lot to learn and maybe they should have prepared better studio wise to run 2 games simultaneous. They should have asked around at how real studios are doing it. |
