A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players
While I totally understand the reasons stated, I got to say it really, really sucks. But hey the new Civilization game launches in Feb.

Just release a previous league with Settlers Included to give us a "fresh feeling". Thats it! We just want the feeling of "something fresh". Economy and etc...

Two teams working together, forgetting the roots (PoE 1) of their loyal players to focus on a new game that used bad mechanics from the original game, such as Sanctum and Ultimatum, in stages as important as Ascension. This shows laziness and a lack of creativity from the so-called PoE 2 team, and yet they come up with excuses? This way, they will lose the loyal players of PoE 1, like me, fail to attract new players to PoE 1 who came with the launch of 2, and lose those who play 2, who, like me, expected various innovations but instead got a lazy reuse of failed leagues from PoE 1 (which, at least, were optional). They locked the endgame of the new game behind "meta builds" with overpriced items, benefiting only players who dedicate their lives to playing, forgetting casual players with jobs and families to raise.
I emphasize that I have been with PoE since 2013 and have seen everything happen. I only wish for success—for PoE 2 to go as far as PoE 1 has, so that my son can grow up and I can show him everything I experienced and achieved. But what’s needed is proper management, less laziness, and more focus. Give poe 1 players a flashback league, or something like endless delve, just for fun, now that you guys admited that there is only one team, working on 2 games. |

You guys just liars, and you lied to people which support Poe 1 development for a years and Poe 1 player base it’s only the reason why Poe 2 see release. I don’t know this message to Poe 1 players just a joke. I am not Poe 2 hater and I think that this is a game with big potential, but also with a big problems, which will be solved I think in a 2 years? Now this game has too many annoying and boring things, map system , lack of good builds, terrible map layaouts and mobs density, awful craft system , close to zero dopamine drops in map. And I don’t want wait 2 years and play in alpha which gives me 0 enjoyment, I want to play in game, which I loved so much and it’s poe1, but you broke my trust.

"Buy an Early Access key and support development for POE2 so POE1 can be worked on more quickly."
Please don't ban me. |
|
Really poor handling and communication, you have lost my support.

Looks like some company might need a lil shake up. They don't need feedback they need to eat some dirt. If I failed to meet the expectations of my boss I would be fired. Just a cert to suck on.

The level of "sky is falling" is so silly to me, after over a decade of excellence in every regard. Worst case for me is I get to catch up on a ton of other things while all is sorted out, and if I do feel like playing PoE, there's plenty of builds I've yet to seriously try anyway, and I enjoy SSF as much as any other playstyle. Do what you need to do guys.
I will say that I've always found the notion of a "PoE2" to be concerning and suspect, given that PoE is essentially a perfect design, and any fundamental changes to it would be unlikely to improve that, and likely to undermine some aspects of what makes PoE so close to being a perfect game already. Though, I do understand why, from a business perspective and from the absurdity of how many people were seemingly dedicated to never playing any ARPG not named Diablo regardless of all else, a need was felt to do something with PoE to make what the industry media would regard as a "new game" and thus in theory get press hype going and get some fraction of the Blizzard Zombies to give it a try. It's a sad truth, but perhaps a game like PoE can never have mass appeal. |
