This is end game ?

We run t15 maps, no one in our party is using meta builds. My Warriors passive tree looks completely different than the build guides, and the skill selection is quite different as well. We killed the boss in the Stone Citadel last night on the first try. Going to kill another tonight, and eventually attempt the final boss. Sure, we had troubles at first maintaining waystones, a lot of which was the result in dying to content we wasn't ready for, but stopped using our good ones (waystones) on blank nodes and that changed everything. We haven't sold anything or done any RMT. We're surviving off of drops for currency and using that for trade.

Ok, what is it.

Are you playing skill level stacking totems or warcry karen build?
Warcry Karen sounds interesting.

I don't use Totems, and only have one Warcry. Again, I am non-meta.

So you have purposefully crippled your character or completely turned off your own intelligence while building your character, just so that you can say you struggled through the content; which to you is the definition of fun.

Bro idk what to tell you.

loved the game till i hit end game now im looking at the map thinking is this it.

Nah, man you can do so much.

You can pick 1 of the 3 different builds that you can play end game!

You can AOE everything with spark, or can AOE everything with staff, or AOE everything with bow.

The choices are uncountable. (As long as you are unable to count to 3)

And there is this very interesting mechanic about running to towers, juicing maps, then running those juiced maps, then running again to towers...

I know it sound like very dumb design choice, that will get you bored immediately, but it is actually very exciting.

I mean, there are like four new different tower map layouts that will make you waste your time! Not just one, can you believe it?

And you make a progress in your character every day. It doesn't feel like you have to gamble the giant slot machine, or spend 5 hours to trade with RMT bots for a single piece of gear.

Trust me, this game is good. Just play.

This comment is by far the best I've read in recent days, thank you for the quality of this summary of the current state of PoE 2

Guys, thank you, you made my day. Most of the comments are comedic gold. Especially the first commenter.

You don't have to tell me anything. I am in endgame fighting bosses without a meta build. I don't have to be told how to play the game, and then think that is my only option.

I don't mind that you're having fun doing your own thing. But

"We killed the boss in the Stone Citadel last night on the first try"

is not the defense for a lack of build variety that you think it is. I literally oneshot T4 bosses, there's no question even whether I will survive or not. I am measuring my clear speed of a citadel boss in milliseconds.

Could I randomly allocate my nodes to make a subpar clearing build, using a mixture of ineffective skill combinations? Yes, but that's not how the majority of the playerbase wants to play.

We want variety for effective gameplay. Does it need to be as broken as the current two? No. But we need more options that aren't in the realm of... maybe I'll beat the boss nor not who knows

Your problem is, you only consider the most broken stuff as usable. Then you'll complain there is no diversity and when a balance patch hits, complain about nerfs. It's ironic.
