Waystone Sustain has killed this game for me.
Kill bosses and upgrade waystones. And are you using the towers correctly to buff up the droprates?
And yeah, T10-T13 might be a bit tricky. At T15, I'm getting at least 3 T15's from every map. And that is on the very low end. |

a lot of ppl are missing the point.. yeah sure you sustain t15 waystons with no problem, yeah I do too. The true problem with waystone sustain is getting up to clearing t15's.. I hit a lul around t12 and just like the op it took forever to get a map to do the tier quest between random deaths and bad rng and a build that was still in the making that is not ready to be fulling juicing maps to 6 mods along with the lack of currency to do it... just think 1 death is a cost of at least 2 waystones, one that you opened the map with and at least 1 waystone drop of the same lvl tier or higher and during this stage ppl are still learning the bosses and their build to they will have deaths along with the one shots and random deaths..
all that needs to be done is add t5 and t10 waystones for sell to the vender permanently and the problem is solved! The ppl that have bad luck or struggle dying can buy them and be back at it and the ones that don not have an issue won't spend their gold buying them. |

Use your good waystones on maps with bosses (and maybe breaches). You'll very likely drop more maps than you need and even maps on tiers higher than the one you're running. That's the easiest way to sustain waystones and progress on Doryani's quests.
Also, keep looting some of the low tier maps and use them on shit nodes and Lost Towers to get to the good nodes. Yes, progressing the Atlas sucks because of it, you're literally running chores on shit nodes trying to get to the good ones and this is comically bad game design. But a lot of things in this game are comically bad game design and GGG doesn't change them. So you better suck it up or leave the game. P.S.: If you're dying, fix your character by doing the very high quality gameplay this game offers called "trading". Dying will obliterate any chance you have at sustaining maps, because not only you lose the waystone, but you also lose the node "buffs". So you either also suck it up and suffer through the trading "system", or you'll waste even more time trying to progress on the quests Last edited by _rt_#4636 on Jan 25, 2025, 8:08:13 PM

Yup, cuz these [Removed by Support] decided to nerf boss waystone droprate by 25%. And the group of basement dwellers playing this game 10 hours a day insist that they have too many waystones.
Maybe if you guys stop thinking everyone is playing hardcore. We don't need to git gud, we already are clearing T15 maps with ease. Just stop being arrogant. [Removed by Support] Last edited by Vash_GGG#0000 on Jan 25, 2025, 8:26:15 PM

" I did the base minimum number of maps all the way through to finishing Doryani's quests, never had a single lull or even small hiccup. By the time I got to Tier 3, I had 10+ of them. By the time I got to Tier 4, same. Tier 12, same. If you build your Atlas Tree right, if you aren't holding back currency and are juicing your maps (including corrupting), you get tons of maps with 500% or more waystone, do the towers and add tablets with waystone chance too. Sustain isn't a problem if you build for getting them. I think the problem is players wanting to do 'magic find' with their waystones, tablets, tree, etc... and aren't getting waystones as a result, then complaining about it. |

They should have gotte nrid of waystones altogether.
It would be way more fun if the nodes on the atlas already have a level, that increases as you progress outwards from the center. And then you could maybe boost them by adding mods, and activating towers etc. For me it's such a bad experience running a tier 15 map and having random tier 1, tier 5, etc drop it feels dumb besides being discouraging. Instead of dropping stupid tiered waystones I'd have added only unique maps as drops, plus currencies that let you tweak the atlas nodes - remove all those stupid tiered waystones inventory management. The game is so bloated in so many ways. I guess GGG takes "gothic design" to the max. |

+1
At the start, before having a maxed out atlas and some boss passives, I had T15+ bosses not dropping any waystones at all. Or T15+ maps with +300% implicit waystone drop, dropping 10+ waystones, all of lower level. If you get on the wrong side of RNG no boss maps and no amount of exalt orbs will help you in sustaining T15 maps and it's really frustrating. Bosses become a reliable source of sustaining waystones, sure. However only after you already have atlas points in them. And high implicit on the map is great on average, however if you get below average at the very start it will make the journey much longer and annoying. People saying that they can't see the problem clearly had at least average RNG on their first T15 maps. And since a bit later in the endgame, T15 waystones are overabundant, one can have a perception that waystone drops are too high. Last edited by KubaLy#4534 on Jan 25, 2025, 9:49:58 PM

Every day I sell at least 20 T15 waystones for 1ex each. I have so many waystones in my inventory stash, it's unbelievable.
There is no reason to have waystone sustain problems. |
