as of today, i 100% agree. the current atlas UI is beyond bad on multiple fronts, navigating it being the biggest menace. I can see some potential of it but its rather far fetched considering the glaring inherent drawbacks from this 'infinite' approach.

it feels like they took poe1 atlas with sextants and made a painting out of it. its pretty but you don't want to touch it

The atlas is stolen from Last Epoch, combined with "reward gone on death" thingy.

(The relic "skip/take" crafting is also stolen.)

The tier drops is kinda stolen, but actually in POE it drops as complete garbage right now. (but I expect it to be fixed at some point).

This what they call "vision" is more or less "other people's vision", incorporated into POE 1 by force, and as you can see the end result of this copulation...

ok didn't not see that coming. i kinda lost respect for them now. i thought they were innovating with their own team and trying something completely new. this makes absolutely no sense then when we consider the abandonment of systems that were working well in poe1

nvm

So few game mechanics can actually be considered new. Essentially all games borrow from others. Wait until you find out what every single RPG is borrowing from.
nvm

You could also say last epoch stole theirs from poe1's synthesis league, no?

ok, thot plikens here. i will let the devs cook since this sounds like another mechanic that was actually beta tested in poe1 that i clearly missed. i'm quickly jumping to conclusions today, have to relax

In all honesty, Last Epoch stole the shit out of POE first.
So it is neither unexpected, nor undeserved to steal back what is good.

But the question is - does this fit other parts of POE or not.
I have mixed feelings...

I could say that they stole THE SHIT out of POE.
(And turned it into better game.)

But POE dev team (incompetent as it is to make POE 2 running smooth) is very good at implementing new league twice a year.

(And I include here sound, graphics, marketing, everything really.)

This makes them keep high player base.
Yes, they need to invest continuous engineering effort.

But they kept their game going. Last epoch did not.
